“A cut above Bton Ethnic eateries”

Bloomington does not suffer from lack of choice for international cuisine. Unfortunately, breadth of choice does not translate into good quality, people want cheap and it shows. Do breaks this rule a bit. The Korean and Asian standards (dumplings, shu mai etc) are quite good , seriously prepared and served. I think I would tend to go Korean here on the main courses, the Bulgogi and Bibimbap are as good ias in major metropolitan Korean restaurants, which is the Gold Standard for a Bton ethnic eatery. The sake is also reasonably priced, which is nice. Altogether, a little more cost for a slightly more authentic product - seems a fair trade. Finally, the interior is not grubby and reminds me of little places in Seoul. So, go do.

We came here because the interior was warm and welcoming, and it was the right choice. The food was really excellent and the service attentive. My husband and I both ordered different types of the ramen - the broth was delicious, the meat was tender and beautifully marinated, and the meal was filling. Next time we're passing through Bloomington, we'll be sure to come back.

I have been here twice, and would probably come back. I've had both the golden curry dish and the spicy pork. The curry I would come back for, the pork I would share with someone but it got a little too repetitive. These were good, but not mind blowing. Very simple dishes (not in a bad way), nothing too "fusion"-y. The prices are good (~$10-12 for dinner entree). This would be a great place for a date.

The atmosphere is great, much nicer than the average 4th street restaurant, but still casual. It's small and comfortable. The menu is nice. The service leaves more to be desired, especially for such a small place, but this is still a young restaurant.

Also, they are open until 3am on some nights, so I will definitely be stopping by some night after going out for some late night food, I can only imagine how great ramen or dumplings would be that late. They have outdoor seating, which will be spectacular once the weather improves.

First visit, but definitely will return.

Tucked away on the East 4th is a fine little restaurant, Do. I went for lunch and had a Bento box B, spicy chicken. This was more than enough for lunch, included were: the spicy chicken entrée, a big serving of steamed rice, some kimchi, a little seaweed side dish, two dumplings or pot stickers, some hot dog wedges, and a little lettuce and corn salad. All for less than $8. Loved it. My friend had the Bento Box A, beef. IT will be my next order as it looked delicious, too.

Pablo's Ratings:
Food Taste: 5
Decor/Feel: 5
Service: 4
Value: 4

Recommended dish: Late-Night Soon Tofu

Additional Perks: Open until 2AM on weekends
Large portions make up for high prices on late-night menu
Alcohol served (sake, wine, beer)

The downside: expensive drinks ($15 tiny sake bottle)
Some staff not knowledgable about menu items

This place is a must for anyone in Bloomington who enjoys high-quality Korean food! Compared to the other Korean restaurants, Do raises the bar in ingredient quality, as well as providing a trendy yet comfortable atmosphere for lunch, dinner, and late-night guests.
The service and food knowledge varies based on staff, but all are friendly and will give you their time.
