“Best beef bourniguon on the planet"”
Reviewed March 23, 2012

We couldn't believe how good the soup was. My husband ordered it and I kept begging bite after bite. You could eat this as an incredibly rich and flavorful soup or take it home and serve it over noodles or rice for a terrific entree
I also had ordered the cream of asparagus and it was excellent as well. The velvety texture and just-right spices were perfect - the soup you always hope for, but seldom get. This little hole in the wall restaurant makes 14 soups daily, and you go to the counter and order from the blackboard. We had the small portions and along with the accompanying baguette we were completely satisfied. We'll make this a regular stop in Bloomington!

“Name says it all, the soup is darn good.”

Fast, friendly service. Darn Good Soup features 10-12 freshly made soups everyday for eat-in or carry-out. Usually you can choose from at least 4 to 6 vegetarian or vegan soups too. I've had the corn chowder, chicken tortilla, chili, chicken pot pie and the vegan minestrone soups. They have all been excellent and reasonably priced around $5 for a 12 oz bowl with bread. The only downside for me is the plastic eating utensils and Styrofoam bowls, but the quality of the meal trumps this problem.
