I hesitated to book a room here because all I was seeing was camping sites for families. This hotel and golf resort is best enjoyed by couples and anyone loving the game of golf. It is very sophisticated overall.
We visited in. November when weather was cool and sun was out. Perfect for walking the course.
We were charged a fair rate for a king room with a balcony which incl. breakfast. You must walk to restaurant which is a lovely walk. Make reservations for dinner to be assured a table.
Pros: new modern building and rooms, spacious rooms, separate toilet area, French doors lead to balcony, clean, quiet, friendly staff and quite helpful with reservations and directions, free parking, fantastic breakfast, fantastic dinner, very very private rooms, internet connection good.
Cons: layout of rooms although large is strange, small kitchen not needed, tub shower hard to get into, no toiletries, tiny soap and body wash attached to wall, hallways are strange and feel like you are in a conference center, no towel rack in separate toilet area to dry hands, tv terrible reception.
Definitely worth traveling to and cons are minimal in nature but should be considered by staff. Overall it's romantic, clean and rustic all at the same time.More
