“Such a beautiful, peaceful, vulnerable site”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

Lake Wilkie is a bog lake, left behind after the last ice age. It is nestled in natural forest - a short, beautiful walk from the road, with the sounds of birds singing all the way.
The lake itself is so still and like a mirror. The surrounding narrow wetland is beautiful and fragile, so you approach the lake on a boardwalk.
This is a unique natural site that is so tranquil. You must go and see it for yourself.
There are several signs describing the natural forest and the lake.
