Big Fish staff: WAKE UP!

My husband and I frequent Big Fish 3 out of 4 Sundays a month. While the food is fantastic...never a problem there...the service, especially in the last couple of months, leaves a LOT to be desired.
Last weekend, there were only 2 other bar-top tables occupied, besides us, and it took 20 minutes and 3 requests to get another beer. It seemed there were plenty of servers walking around aimlessly (empty dining room), while the poor guy--attending the three tables in the bar and the bar patrons--was running around like a chicken with his head cut off.
There have been many times when it takes absolutely forever to get another drink or an extra napkin...whatever.
The young servers should just be aware when they only recieve a 10% tip, when we usually tip 25-30%.

We went here on a lark, looking for a new dining experience. We were not disappointed.

My wife was referred here by a friend, so we thought we would give it a try.

For openers, their wine selection is pretty good - it isn't 100 bottles deep, but what they have is 1. a decent selection of good wines, and 2. not priced out of the world. We ordered a bottle of the Justin Cabernet ($40), and were not disappointed.

For an appetizer, we started with the Spinach Dip, which worked well with the bread and crackers it was served with. The waiter also dropped off 4 biscuits and butter, which were really good.

For the main course, my wife ordered the crab-stuffed lobster, and I ordered the Waygu Sirloin. Both were very good, and came with a side of whatever you'd like. I chose the garlic mashed potatoes, and they were pretty good. My wife went with the Polenta, which tastes, well, like Polenta. Does Polenta really have a taste?

We wrapped things up by splitting a slice of key lime pie for dessert. All in all, an enjoyable meal with good service and a nice, quiet restaurant.

Fish fry is excellent. Fried Basa fish. Excellent breading. Nice red potatoes. Flavorful biscuits.
To top it off its all you can eat and only $12.95.
Hard to find but GPS puts you right at the door.
Out of the way but definitely worth the trip.
Service needs help. 3 out of 4 times have had a lousy server. But Al made up for the bad servers.
He is attentive and helps you enjoy this wonderful meal.

We had a birthday dinner here and it was great. Our server was very attentive and great with the kids. They don't have a kids menu printed but they offered to make any of the dishes child sized.
The mac and cheese is especially good!
We will go back in nicer weather to see what the atmosphere is like outside!

Being live aboards at Harborside Marina, we are frequent diners at the Big Fish. We have really enjoyed the Wednesday night pasta nights this winter, and the bottles of wine are half price. All of the fish is fresh, almost everything is created on site vs frozen. A bit pricey, but we have never had a bad dish there
