This is a former favor -- its chef has changed (so the waiter said) and so has the menu. Much was retained, but my personal favorites were dropped with a paring down of the menu. (They had a wonderful duck dish.)
This time I had the Surf and Turf: "eight ounce grilled flank steak with chimichurri sauce paired with three grilled large shrimp with poblano-blue cheese sauce" with a side of chipotle mashed potatoes. I had to send it back because the potatoes were cold (not uncommon -- I've had to do that three times before). The shrimp were offensively tiny for a surf and turf dish. You'd think a poblano-blue cheese sauce would have a nice strong flavor and kick ... it was bland.
Very disappointing. They compensated with a free dessert (fortunately they still have their yummy brownie). I wouldn't go back except my wife's enchalada's (her favorite) were still good, so they may get another chance at her prodding. But I still love the Escalade Margarita!
I feel like I'm dissing a friend ... its just sad.
