You've been to the Little Popcorn Shop right?

What?!

Ok look. Get to the popcorn shop immediately. It's a popcorn and candy shop that's like 2 feet wide. They've got every candy you can imagine and many you can't, delicious popcorn in sacks, and the teenager at the end can total everything up because he knows the prices from memory. You gotta get here.

Just a fun place to go for a treat for yourself. Nostalgic. Unique store. You will tell your friends about it and probably take pictures.

I lived in Wheaton for four years in the late 1960s and early 1970s and never patronized the Little Popcorn Store. How did I miss it? Located at 111 West Front Street, it has been a Wheaton tradition since 1921, since Red Grange was playing football for Wheaton High School. Open from 10 to 9 Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 on Sunday, the Little Popcorn Store is probably the narrowest store in the Chicago area, measuring 49 inches wide by 60 feet long. It's like walking into a Normal Rockwell painting. Popcorn is freshly popped, candy jars line the wall and customers greet each other warmly while squeezing past each other in the small, quaint space. What's the secret to the popular and great tasting popcorn? According to owner Bill Wakefield, who has run the business for over 40 years, he uses white corn, which is sweeter, smaller and less tough than yellow corn. It also is lighter and doesn't require butter, just a dose of vegetable oil and some salt. It's been a recipe for success for nearly 100 years.

An established icon in Wheaton. The old fashioned candy store where your kids (and adults) get to pick single candies and mix and match. The popcorn is spectacular white. MUCH better than any movie popcorn. Hope it stays forever!

Went to Little Popcorn store for the first time as a college student, then continued as an adult and now as a grandparent. Great warm popcorn. Penny candy and old time hard to find candy for those sugar inclined.
