This restaurant is walking distance from our home and we have dined here many, many times over the years. Have gone here since it opened. It has always been a relaxing and easy place to eat when you don't feel like going far for dinner. I think it's great that the restaurant has changed it's menu over the years, as the same menu does get boring. The quality of the food, however, has really deteriorated over the last year or so. The baked pasta dishes are heavy and "greasy" and lack flavor. Portion sizes have also shrunk. The restaurant does have a nice ambience and is good for all kinds of dining occasions. They have a small, private room in the back that can be used for private dinners. They also have a "takeaway" area in the front which you can use to order and pick up for home if you don't want to eat in. Not sure if they still have call ahead seating. The restaurant hasn't been that full that last few times we've eaten there. Probably, will not go for awhile before we give it one more try.

My wife and I went here for dinner early on a Thursday night, and obviously beat the crowd. We were seated immediately and our server was very attentive. I had the chicken scaloppine which was very tasty and well prepared. I was very happy with the amount of artichokes served with the dish. My wife got the Mamas Trio which she said tasted very good, but the lasagna and the chicken and mushroom cannelloni were just luke warm. These obviously were not prepared fresh at the same time that the chicken parmesan was made. Both dishes were a reasonable size for our appetites. The warm rosemary bread served when you sit down is very good.

Macaroni Grill used to be a nice Italian place. But their menu shrank and their quality and service along with it. This used to be one of my wife's favorites and we often went late nights just the two of us or even took a large group. However, the food is unintersting and not very good and the last time we ordered carry-out one of the meals was inedible. Even Olive Garden is much better than Macaroni Grill--- sadly.
