Michael's is an Italian take out and dine in place that has been very successful in central Illinois. The Washington location was the original and is in an old gas station building. They also have several other locations. The owners were formerly associated with the Lagondola chain, also in central Illinois. The board of fare consists of Americanized Italian favorites like sub type sandwiches (Torpedos) and all kinds of pasta dishes. They have a pretty decent salad too. I think their bread is great. It's made in house and is very sweet and chewy. Watch out because it's addictive. The food is always hot and ready, so this place is a favorite of families who need a fast meal and don't want fast food. The price is decent and you do get a lot for your money.
