“Quick overnighter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

Spent a night while attending a high school reunion. The room was spacious with a queen and king bed, small fridge, micro, etc. Got a great night's sleep -- always appreciate a down comforter/duvet and an array of pillows types to choose from. The price was very reasonable, but I believe our reunion committee had negotiated a group rate.

A lot of conveniences of home:
* hot breakfast buffet- hot food was so-so, but there was fruit, bagels/pastries, cereal, oatmeal, waffle maker, yogurt, REAL juice, etc. In short, no one needs to leave hungry (and some people liked the omelets, sausage and hash browns).
*a laundromat onsite with several washers and dryers
*workout facilities and a good sized pool
*shuttle service

Not a golfer, but a dozen former classmates headed out for 18 holes and had a great time. From what I could see, it looked like a beautiful course.

We booked the Hawthorn through Hotwire, and even had in the search, 2 adults, 2 children. We were placed in a King/Queen Suite. It was really nice sized, about as large as 2 "regular" hotel rooms. Bathroom was not oversized, it was basic, tub, toilet, single vanity outside. had a Walk-up kitchenette, with micro, fridge, counter top - 4 chairs/table. that was convenient. Room was clean, beds were nice. It's really off the beaten path, and you'll go through some back roads to get to it - but no highway noise!! we went to 6 flags, and each day we came back, there were bumble bees alive in the room. We talked to the desk twice, they said they sprayed. EVERY day - more bees. They were too booked to move us to another room, and told us to be "happy" cuz we were supposed to just get one bed!? really? for 4 people?? Breakfast was awesome, food was consistently good, but crowded, and the room was HOT! There was a soccer team there for a tourn. and they had stacks of filthy muddy towels lined in the hall, all the time! the boys were pretty loud, too (not the hotels problem, tho - the parents!) They never had an option til the last night for the bees, so we'd keep the kids outside, have the hubby go in and kill the bees, and pray we'd not see any overnight! (We were lucky!) Towels were constantly a problem too, they left us one or two every day, then when you ask - you have to SIGN that you took XX towels, etc!

Room Tip: There's only one elevator, and the halls are VERY long, if you have little ones, make sure you a...

This hotel was booked through Priceline so the price was extremely affordable. It is an older hotel but the owners keep it very clean and well kept up. The free breakfast was typical of many establishments and the choices varied each day. It's not the greatest, but you can't complain if it's included in the price and/or just choose cereal, or toast.

If you are looking for a secluded place to stay, this is the place to go. Most major shopping areas are within 15-20 minute drive including dining options although there are a few in Wadsworth worth checking out.

My only complaint about this hotel is related to the staff. When checking in the hotel clerk was clearly sick and three of the five people in my party ended up coming down with a cold after our stay. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant and willing to go out of their way to help us out.

First off, it is off the beaten path with nothing around it. When we got there, the first room they gave us was extremely smoky smelling, so they switched us to another of the same room 2 doors down. The pool was super small and the spa only held 3 people at a time. And on the 2nd night the spa water was colder than the pool water! Breakfast was o.k., nothing special. When we checked out, no one asked how are stay was! Guess they did not want to know. Won't stay there again.

This hotel had a dated feel - but it was very clean. We went to this hotel when we went to Six Flags Amusement Park. It was difficult to find originally but was very nice. It had that 80's feeling to the furnishings but was upscale and on a golf course. The room was very spacious with a kitchen and eating area along with the living room area with a pullout bed. The kingsized bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again!

This hotel is "just ok", nothing special. Hotel appears clean enough, but think the hotel just recently must have gone non-smoking. Our room was clean, but had a lingering smoke smell. They deodorized it, which helped, but the smell was still there.

The "hot breakfast" is pretty weak. Today had per-made egg things like you see at a Hampton Inn. Also had biscuits & gravy that was clearly basic & re-warmed... Cereal consisted of Corn Flakes & that's it. Limited selection of yogurt in fridge that was barely cold... No meat selection except what in biscuits & gravy...

Hotel isn't the easiest to get to. Not close to highway & no restaurants or anything right near by.

Again, was just ok. Not bad, but not too good either.

I'd stay elsewhere if you have a choice.

I stayed at this hotel on June 29, 2012. I don't even know where to start. Checking in took forever. Went to get in the hot tub oh sorry no hot water. No change at front desk for laundry, I was told to go to corner store. No housekeeping services were provided. Found housekeeper in hallway ask for towels, she didn't speak English and gave me wet towels. Then when i received my statement I was double charged, they told me I had two rooms and I was a no call no show for one. Really!!! Never again!!! Breakfast was alright.....
