We buy groupons regularly to try new places. Some good, some not so good. This may be the best one we've ever purchased. I have been to northern and southern Italy and the food is fantastic. Ther are some good Italian restaurants in the area, but none reminded of Italy, until now. Chef Giulio's preparation and the taste of the veal parmigiano and penne bolognese brought back Italy - especially the bolognese. You don't see veal or chicken parmigiano in Italy - it was the sauce that made that dish. The portion size for the money was tremendous. This is now our Italian restaurant. The staff (Lynn in particular) could not have been more friendly or helpful with suggestions from the diverse menu. Good place for business, dates - and even the kids, as pizza is on the menu!

Villa Nova has recently had a change of chefs and atmosphere. This isn't the old Villa Nova we all grew up with In Villa Park. While that was a nice, warm friendly pizza place, this new Villa Nova will blow you away. Their recent acquisition of their new chef from near Naples Italy, is a real treasure.
And it's not just great Italian cooking; it's something truly unique and wonderful. One of the specials of the night was a rack of lamb and whole Maine lobster. While it sounded different and unusual, we weren't prepared for what came to the table. A huge rectangular platter with 2 whole lobsters (this was ordered by two in our party), a rack of 4 succulent and perfect lamb chops, on a bed of lovely fried polenta and roasted cauliflower and zucchini. It was so beautiful we took a picture on our phone and sent it to my daughter who was insanely jealous! The meal was accompanied by delicious salads, and warm crusty bread with great dunking oil. The chef even threw in a few shrimp to make the meal even more wonderful. The other members of our party had the veal parmigiana which they both exclaimed was the best they ever had; and large enough to feed a crowd! We finished our meal with two soft creamy desserts, the creme brulee and the caramel custard. The chef even carved lovely strawberry roses on top and sent us four delicious pieces of Italian banana cake gratis that completed our perfect meal.
Everyone in our group agreed that we cannot wait to go back and try some other of the chef's works of art; I honestly can't imagine a nicer place to spend Valentines Day. If you already don't have somewhere reserved, you won't regret Villa Nova! An unforgettable meal at very affordable prices, how can you go wrong?

We have eaten here many times in the past and also attended and hosted a number of banquets. There has been a recent change of management and the food and service have suffered. We were there with friends in November of 2011 and order meals rather than the pizza. All of our meals were very disappointing. Spaghetti was gummy, sauce tasted vinagery like it was old and the service was sub par. Too bad, because the old owner, Vince, ran a great place.

The fam and I just love to drop by this place for some GOOD pizza. The pizza is especially good to order for the house. Yesterday my wife and I had some dinner and I was just as happy with the dinner as I was with the pizza. I will definitely be back for some dinner again VERY SOON! Lynn was our waitress and she was sucha sweet heart. Villa Nova is a perfect atmosphere, food, and service
