“Disappointing place”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012

Main course was ok, bit on the oily side. Stay away from what they call here creme brûlée, what a joke, it tastes like vanilla pudding straight from can....well, likely it was vanilla pudding from can with a bit of caramelized sugar on top

“Silvercreek soon to be even better!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

An old saw mill carefully renovated into this charming restaurant along Silvercreek(locals know it as the boneyard creek) A nice assortment of American Cuisine especially nice at Christmas by the fireplace. The City of Urbana is currently working on improvements to the creek which runs beside the restaurant and by Spring/Summer 2013 it should really be looking great.

“Best Sunday Brunch in Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

Great atmosphere in an old building that was a former lumber mill. Open room with wonderful exposed wooden beams. The food is fantastic! There is standard breakfast offerings along with chef cooking omelets and eggs to order and a waffle station.
There are different offerings for the lunch side of brunch, salads and meat dishes. Also a carving station. The desserts are amazing! Be sure to make reservations if you know you can so you don't have to sit and wait for a table incase they are busy.

“Very good but a bit overpriced for dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

We had dinner here the night before a visit to U of I and enjoyed our meal. The menu is pretty traditional steaks, fish and chicken with a couple atypical items like shrip and grits. The atmosphere is warm - lots of dark wood with a fireplace that would be nice on a winter evening. My only disappointment was that it was rather expensive for Champaign - almost all the entrees were in the $20's. The lunch menu looked more reasonable.

“Remarkable Find in Urbana, IL”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Beautiful and cozy. The actual brick building was at one time an ice house. Great, friendly service. The bourbon coated pork chop was wonderful. Served with sweet potato and asparagus. Excellent. Served with a great greens, candied pecans, and poached pear salad. My husband had New Zealand lamb with a savory rice. A wonderful surprise in a small university town.
