We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we did not experience any problems. The breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel was easy to find and there were a lot of dining choices nearby.

After reading a lot of reviews I was nervous to book a hotel anywhere. I decided on the Hampton Inn because of price and location. It started out great and continued the whole way. As soon as we got there they let us check in very early. The staff also continued to be kind and friendly and helped us book a cab, they even gave a coupon for $3 off a cab ride. The best part is instead of waiting to have $12 beers at the concert, there is a Buffalo Wild Wings right there for 3 dollar 23oz beers and we were able to actually come home with a little money lol.

First time in this location, hotel was one of several chain hotels adjacent to Interstate 80. Typical Hampton Inn like so many others across the US. And also typical of the lack of attention Hilton (Hampton's parent) has come to stand for.

First room provided wasn't cleaned properly - still a pile of towels near the door and bed looked like someone had been laying on it, although it looked to have been made properly.

Asked for another room, and overheard desk clerk refer to my request as "picky" to the front desk manager.

Overall staff seemed uninspired, not particularly friendly, just a job. I am finding Hyatt Place and Courtyard Marriotts seem to be better run properties generally.

We stayed in this hotel on New Years Eve. It was my husband, myself, my 2 year old daughter, my mother, and my 2 nieces ages 10 and 8, and my nephew age 6.
When we checked into the hotel at 2pm on New Years Eve we payed cash, and when the desk clerk saw that we had children he handed us the hotel's policy for New Years Eve. Basically the policy said that if another guest staying in the hotel complains about being disturbed you are responsible for paying for that guests room. So, needless to say we sat all our kids down and they were told they had to be on their best behavior, and they were. Around 9pm we started hearing extremely loud noises coming from the rooms above our room and my mother's room. There were 6-7 children ranges in ages from 4-13 and they were running around the hotel like maniacs unsupervised. They were going from floor to floor running up & down the stairs and up & down the elevators, it was so loud you could not believe it. Our kids were wondering why they couldn't run around like them. So, we called the front desk after listening to this for an hour and we complained. My husband was told "noone else has complained", but there really wasn't anyone else in the hotel at the time, and nothing was done about it and they continued to run around unsupervised until 3am. Were our rooms paid for???? No!!!!!!! And to top it all off the beds in both rooms were so, so , so very uncomfortable none of us really slept at all. I would never in a million years stay at this Hampton Inn again.

This is a fairly generic Hampton property. The manager is generally responsive (although not there when you need her), but the desk staff has no appreiciation for the Hilton program status. They out-right lie about a lack of upgrades and only when pressed hard did address requests. My last trip I was told at check-in the hotel was soldout that night and no upgrades were available. At 7 pm that night, with only 3 cars in the parking lot was a soldout hotel to them.

It's a shame that the manager is required to get recognition for the status we have earned with the company.

I travel over 150 nights a year - it's the little things that come with status in the loyalty programs that helps make that pace survivable. Status carries no benefit at this location. Other Hampton properties in the south Chicago suburbs treat Diamonds far better than this location. If that is important to you, look elsewhere.

I will stay at one of the other hotels in the area before I would return to this property again.

I stayed here on business in May 2004. Very new hotel. It's located in a "hotel park". That is, there are a whole bunch of other hotels within walking distance of each other. It's quite a ways outside of Chicago. So you'd better have a car if you plan to get there or go anywhere. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Free high-speed wireless internet. Decent breakfast (typical Hampton Inn). No complaints.
