Family and friends have been going there a long time and until a couple years ago it was consistently very good both in food and service. At one time they had a thriving place including a good micro brewery. But times have really changed. They have closed for lunch and have limited hours even on weekends. Obviously just trying to make it as a banquet hall and let the other service and quality slide. This LAST time was a weekday evening and the place was busy with banquets but restaurant half full. Still told to wait in bar for 45 min. and even then tables not cleared and did not have a server for another 10 min. The menu has been cut down to fewer, and more pricey offerings. Oh, and waited another 15 min. for our wine to come even before taking our order. Tried the stuffed mushrooms - cold, soggy, over seasoned. Only tried one. Steaks were not well "charred" and dry. For $40 plus sides it was disappointing. Baked potato had been on a heat lamp shelf forever and skin like leather with insides dried out and shrunken. No vegetable (extra $) and although they did offer bread, it came after salad and appetizer were done. No one bused the table, all plates and drink glasses there until we left. Server was friendly, but obviously they had put staff on banquets and not attending to the restaurant patrons. We left very disappointed and disturbed that all the accomplishments of William Rose are being diminished. If the family is still managing, they need to make some big changes soon. Banquets alone won't keep them in business. Sorry, but will not try again.
