Usually, about once a year, I get a hankering for a good corned beef sandwich. This year it hit me on my way to the accountant in Skokie. What a place and what a selection. Don't even consider hitting McD's across the street. Do yourself a favor and come to this place.

Lunch is likely to be a little crazy but never fear..every member of their staff is there to help you along in getting what you want. This is truly an olde-fashioned deli and the people on the floor as well as those behind the counters make you feel welcome and valued. This is getting to be a hard thing to find these days. Seating is limited to a 25' lunch counter and maybe 6 4x tables.

You'll find a full bakery with a heavy focus on gluten-free. Bagels? Wow bring some home....Soups...wow what a selection and all from scratch! Now Sandwiches...one look at their menu on the wall and you're drooling. Most of those on the menu will feed 2 but ask those behind the counter for the short-list menu with smaller portions for your immediate needs.

Give yourself ample time to look around, take in the smells and investigate. You wont be disappointed. Price? Hey I walked out with a great and healthier meal for slightly more than McD's....just remember you're getting quality. Don't pass this place up

Kaufman's is a very good Jewish Deli, with an assortment of meats, pastries, bagels, etc. They also make very good deli sandwiches.

This was my first time there since the fire, and the setting is a lot different than previously -- one large room instead of the 2 smaller separate sections from before, more stark and industrial with a lot of grey's and bold monotone colors instead of the old cozy feel it once had (both inside and out). Still a very nice deli, and price is reasonable. Their beef sticks and pastries are good. Next to the cakes is a small rack of "Day Old Bread" with $2.00 packages of bagels, pastries, and bread -- a very good deal that should not be overlooked.

The deserts are not to be forgotten you will need to wait after a sandwich to have room everything in this place is fresh and worth going in just for the smells. Was recommended to try this spot for lunch by a client and she steered me to the right place for a great deli sandwich. Great service, very clean, friendly staff. Lots of unique food products to choose from while you're there

It is a small place about the size of a convenience store. It's easy to get to, about 1/4 mile from I-94. It has just reopened, is attractive and well organized, but the most important part is the food. Oh the food! The bagels are excellent. No, they are better than that. Bagels are fresh, in great variety and the prices are very reasonable. The corned beef is about as good as I've had. it has all the things that one expects in such a place. Sandwiches, soups, breads, meats, etc. are available. I'll be back. This time I'll buy a lot more stuff.
