“Eclectic Asian near Woodfield”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014

During this week I had 4 days of business near Schuamburg. As a result, I ate at Big Bowl for dinner twice during the week. I ate at Shaws another evening. Big Bowl seating is funny. Even though there are available seats and booths, we (party of 2) would be asked to wait for a few minutes. I enjoy lemon wedges for my hot tea and both times the waitresses brought them propmtly. I also like to add honey to the tea. Once again, the waitress obliged. I prefer the stir fry where I select the vegetables for cooking. The cooks prepared them as directed. I was otherwise pleased and would return again without objection. They do have fortune cookies but some of the waitress don't bring any. Ask at the hostess desk on the way out if you want a few.

It was tasty and plentiful! Went for lunch with a friend and were very delighted with food, service and atmosphere.

“A Solid Average Rating”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

The decor is nice although the atmosphere is noisy with conversations three tables away bouncing off the ceiling. I had the chicken pad thai and was satisfied with the portion size, fresh ingredients and tastevbut it wasn't memorable. Service was ok. The restaurant was not crowded at. 8:30 on a Tuesday night so it could have been better. The restaurant lacks the refinements of P.F. Chang's and likely lacks the following as well. Ho hum.

“Different Chinese food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

Have many different dishes.
They can make just about anything for you.
They make a good pork fried rice.
It's different than the normal Chinese restaurant .
Lots of kids as its right next to the movies.

“Poor Pad Thai”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014 via mobile

In the mood for pad Thai, my family decided to try Big Bowl. What a mistake that was. The amount of chicken in the Pad Thai was laughable and it had way too much basil and sprouts compared to an authentic Thai restaurant. The manager that explained what the adequate portion size was somewhat pompous as well. I will not be returning to Big Bowl.
