So happy you chose us to be your home away from home! Truly means a lot with all the other options in the area. Our staff does strive to go above and beyond for our guests. Thank you so much for your kind words and choosing us as your preferred hotel.
Hope to see you guys soon.
We stayed 3 nights over the Christmas holiday. The entry with a fireplace and small staircase really gave the hotel a cozy feel. The staff was nice enough to let us set up a dinner in the dining room for our two families on Christmas Eve. They had music playing and even had a selection of CDs that I think they would have let us change if we requested. The manager's reception had a good selection of beverages (sodas, bottled beer, mixed drinks) and snacks was a great bonus! The free breakfast had a large selection with the waffle machine, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon or sausage, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, bagels, fruit, cereal and was very nice. There were cookies and fruit at the front desk as well as fresh popcorn popped each night. Just inside the main door was coffee and hot water for tea or hot chocolate. What a nice touch!
Minor disappointments. I wish they wouldn't use a wide angle lens to take a picture of the pool to post on the website. It was a very small pool so we were lucky that we were the only people using it. It snowed lightly during our stay and there was no attempt to clear the parking lot until the second day. The parking stalls remained snow covered which was concerning walking in on the wood floor. The staff was excellent about immediately cleaning any snow that was tracked in. The beds were okay but not the plush heavenly beds found at other hotels.
The location was extremely convenient to the interstate as well as some local stores, including IKEA. Upon checkout, the gentleman at the main desk gave us some bottled water for our trip home. It really was an enjoyable stay at the hotel.
On behalf of the hotel staff I would like to thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review on our hotel. At our hotel we do strive to be your home away from home, so i'm so happy you had that feeling just from walking in to our lobby. I'm sure our staff would of been more then happy to let you change out the CD if requested. Very nice to hear that you enjoyed both our evening reception and our breakfast and a few other of our everyday amenities.
As far as the snow plow I would like to apologize on behalf of the hotel we try to schedule our plows in a timely and convenient manner for the safety of our guest.
Thank you again for your kind words, we hope to see you again in the near future.
Stayed with my kids and a friend and her kids before a visit to Medieval Times the next day. We wanted a clean, close hotel with a pool. Booked online and got a great rate. They don't do adjoining rooms but did put us right next to each other and close to the pool as requested when we booked. Rooms were clean, a good size, with updated decor. Comfortable beds. The pool was a bit small but perfect for our kids ages 5-9. Coffee, tea, cocoa and fruit always available in the lobby and an above average free hot breakfast. Medieval Times less than 5 minutes right down the street.
Dear Ms. Carolyn,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review on our hotel.

Thank you again for your kind words they are truly appreciated.
My husband and I shared our 2 year anniversary there. The gentleman on the phone told us he would book us the fireplace jacuzzi suite. It was amazing. It was arranged with chocolate and rose petals on the bed. We stayed 3 nights and every day room service did an outstanding job cleaning our room. It was a nice gift to each other. I would go back.
My family loved this hotel. Our great experience started with the reservation, handled by the GM on the property instead of a call center, which I appreciated. The GM went above and beyond accommodating our family when we had last minute changes in plan. The hotel is not large, but it is very well maintained. Clean and inviting lobby, spotless guest rooms, and well-appointed common areas.
The beds were comfortable, the room a good size, and bathroom clean and well-stocked. Breakfast exceeded our exceptions, with hot eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, waffles; along with a full compliment of grains, juices, fruit, and yogurts.
The pool area is not huge, but never felt crowded. Easy to observe our three kids from the pool-side chairs.
The only negative is when a problem arose with the microwave. It stopped working during a bag of popcorn. Tried different outlets to no avail. I contacted the desk and they said no one was available until morning to replace to microwave, but I was welcome to use the ones downstairs. It was during the holidays, and this was a minor nuisance only. I won't even remember this in a week.
The location is very convenient to the highway and local attractions.
Overall, we loved our stay and this will be our hotel when we plan a return trip to the area.
This is our fourth stay at Country Inn & Suites in the last seven months. Every employee we have come into contact with is exceptionally good. We have had some problems with the dirtiness off the upholstered furniture in each of these hotels we have stayed in. Since this was rated the # 1 hotel in Schaumburg on Tripadvisor, I had great hopes this one would be better. It wasn't. We had two of our grandchildren with us who would be sleeping on the sofa bed. We saw the stains on the couch when we walked in. We then started pulling open the sofa bed and the underneath side of the mattress was filthy. When we laid down on the mattress all we could feel were the springs ready to pop through the material. They provide you with a comforter and a blanket for the pullout. We tried laying the comforter on top of the mattress, but it did little to help. We ended up folding the comforter in half and it helped a little to cushion the springs. My spouse went down to the front desk to explain to them the problem and ask for a second comforter and blanket so we could pad the other half of the mattress. They provided it, said the were sorry and would replace the mattress the next day with another mattress. This they did. I can' figure out why they allow such dirt to accumulate on these sofa beds when everything else is clean.
