Driving from NJ to MN with 4 little kids. Arrived late tonight, check in was smooth as butter, staff was ultra helpful and soo pleasant. Was concerned cuz I read one nasty review - but that was torally off! Room is sparkling clean, and so spacious. So happy ended up here. Tomorrow's drive is gonna be a lot easier after a night here!

We are a family who likes to stay at moderate properties - enjoy having a pool, clean sheets, nice room - but we don't need a fancy restaurant, robes, etc. That said, we often stay at the Residence Inn and find them to be a nice choice. This time, we stayed at the Springhill Suites (across the street from the Residence Inn, ironically), as it was a little cheaper. Big mistake!

We checked in late at night and went right to bed. In the morning, we found a dirty yogurt cup, spoon, and lid laying on the carpet next to the wall, and something gross dripping down the side of the toilet. It was clear that the room had not been cleaned AT ALL. Again, we are not that picky, but come on!

The complimentary breakfast had one pan of eggs going at a time for a hotel full of people, and as soon as one would come out (about every half hour), it was immediately gone. If you want cereal and fruit and coffee, you can get that. If you want a hot breakfast, this hotel does not honestly provide one -- a few lucky people get some hot foot but that's all.

Stay elsewhere.

I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations, we pride ourselves on providing a clean hotel; I am upset to read that we did not provide this and I can assure you that this is being reviewed with our team to make sure that it will not happen again.

This is not a bad hotel. It is not the latest generation of Springhill Suites but does have the newer furniture. The bed is firm and comfortable although the pillows are sort of small - I think that is just what they have at Springhill Suites.

Staff is friendly and efficient.

Internet has good speed even during evening peak hours.

Breakfast is not as impressive as some other SHS - I think it has to do more with the presentation rather than the content.

One side of the hotel faces the I-90. Even though it has some distance and has a huge building between it and the I-90, you can still hear the traffic. If you are a light sleeper, beware.

My biggest problem with the hotel, amazingly, is the cheap tissue paper they use. It is the kind you find in cheap motels - it flakes apart as you use it. This is the 2nd time I stayed there and, like the first time, I had to go get some from the store. I know it is such a tiny detail but it just makes the hotel feel cheap, therefore, only an Average rating than Very Good.

Room Tip: Ask for an Odd Numbered room if you are a light sleeper.

Prompt desk service, no waiting, very clean, quiet rooms. Room layout is a bit tight when sofa sleeper is out, but it was fine for 2 kids to get in and out of. A typical hotel hot breakfast, but it was fresh, hot, and the staff worked very hard to keep it clean and stocked. We did not use the pool but the area was clean and the water was clear. Location was great, close to shopping and restaurants (IKEA is 1-2 blocks down the street). We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Stayed here in two adjoining rooms with a total of 5 women for a weekend shopping trip.

Very safe area, very clean. All hotel staff were friendly, the hotel was clean. Breakfast had good options and the staff worked hard to keep it stocked (hotel was very crowded).

In our case, having the bathroom sink outside the toilet/shower area allowed multiple people to get ready at the same time.
The fridge/bar area was nice for storing our leftovers and cocktails we brought with us.

Would defintely stay here again if coming back to this area.

Room Tip: Yes, the elevators are slow - but just take the stairs at the ends of the building when you aren'...

We stayed here during a weekend. Waited at the front desk for 5 minutes before a clerk showed up. We got a room with 1 bed and a sofa bed. Set-up was a little awkward - sofa bed took up the entire walkway so it was very difficult to get around it to the kitchenette area. We needed to print something in the business center however the printer was low on toner and not working for us. We asked the people at the front desk. The man simply said "Well that's the only printer we have" with NO offer of any sort of assistance and walked away. The girl at the desk then helped us. Overall I would say there are better hotels in the area than this one.

We stayed for 8 days during a dance competition. The hotel was very full because of all the dancers but the staff still did a great job keeping everyone under control and happy. We did the king size suite with one bed and the pull out. If you ask for a room next to the elevators you get more square footage and the pull out does not take up the entire room. I thought the room was larger than most hotels and easily fit 2 adults and 2 teens. The fridge and microwave are great as well as the desk and TV tray for the couch. The only complaint about the room is I wish the sink was inside the bathroom. As soon as the first person wakes up to get ready for the day the lights from the sink area and sounds from the hair dryer quickly wake everyone up. Having teens we did notice there were a lot of plug ins to charge electronics as well as an iphone dock on the alarm clock. I would also suggest asking for a lower level because the elevators take a while when there are a lot of people staying there. Rooms were clean and housekeeping stopped by as needed during our stay. If we didn't want housekeeping we were able to get towels easily at the front desk. The swimming pool is very small but there are towels available and a nice area to sit outside the pool room. Breakfast was standard "free fare" but we did like the extra touches such as strawberries and chocolate chips for the waffles and cinnamon and brown sugar for the oatmeal. They had the basic food with lots of ways to dress it up although by day 6 we were tired of it. The lobby is nice and open. We saw a lot of groups hanging out in that area. The parking lot is perfect - really close to the hotel - although it can be challenging to pull into and find the front of the hotel so be forewarned. Everything is within 10 mins drive to the hotel including Target, McDonalds, Mall, Ikea, and lots of great eating places. Stop next door to Jason's Deli for a fresh change from fast food. Overall, for a long stay this is a great place. The rooms are large and keep you from getting too cranky with your roommates and the location is unbeatable. The staff was always very friendly and helpful no matter what time of day we saw them. The hotel also offers a free shuttle although we didn't use it because everything was so close.
