Boring & mediocre hotel, although the outside picture looks bright, rooms & interiors are dark and old-looking.

I have stayed at this property several times, I like it's proximity to shopping and I frequent the Hyatt as much as I can (saving up my points for a *real* trip!).

Can't say there is anything special about the hotel in the way of decor. It looks a little dated and could use an update. The koi pond looks like it needs a good scrubbing. Overall, I don't spend much time in the lobby.

The carpets in the rooms and halls could use a deep cleaning or replacing.

The main set of elevators seems to always have at least one that is out of order.

The rooms are unremarkable, a little on the shabby side. Gounges and scratches in the furniture were filed in with what looked like Sharpie marker and the trim around the doors and at the corners was heavily chipped.

I requested a quiet room and had no problems with noise.

The parking is in the rear of the hotel and is free, a plus when compared to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare where it can cost $12.00 a night or more.

The Hyatt offers free transportation to the Woodfield Mall, there you can find numerous restaurants to choose from.

I wish I had more exciting things to say about the Hyatt Woodfield but frankly, it's just so darn average.

If you are looking for a "shopping weekend" they offer a package that gives you a $50.00 a night gift card for the mall, plus a tote bag and some discount coupons. The $50 takes a little of the sting out of the unremarkable hotel.
