We surprised our 8 yr old son with a trip to Medieval Times. He LOVED it and so did we! It was a blast and great fun! Quite pricey, but definitely worth it for quality family times and memories.

Took our grandsons. We all had a fun time. They ask you to be there an hour before show time...that's because it leaves you enough time to buy souvenirs. Staff was very friendly and attentive, apparently well trained. Seating in arena is tiered, all facing the the performance area. They ask you to buy upgraded seating, but it isn't necessary - all seats are close enough and provide a fine view. Servers were friendly and efficient. Food was OK - don't expect gourmet stuff. They're feeding hundreds if people simultaneously. Fare is a piece of toast, tomatoes bisque soup, half of a chicken, one b-b-q rib, a roasted potato half and an apple turnover. No objections to the food, but no raves either.

The show, almost 2 hours long, is formulaic but fun to watch. The audience is seated in 6 different color coded sections. Each section is represented by a color coded Knight. You are expected to cheer for your Knight in the jousting and battles. The horses are fabulous and the performers are incredibly skillful.

Alas, all is not perfect. The lines to the restrooms were quite long after the show ended and the parking lot exit is poorly designed and executed. Some drivers apparently agreed with me and solved the problem by driving over the raised median...but I guess that could be expected in Chicago.

All in all, a very good experience. Not a place you'd visit often, but a nice diversion.

I had always wondered what this place was like. We did a Valentines special which was fairly reasonable.
I have heard you can get 'buy one get one free' coupons for the regular night.
The food was better than expected although I did not like eating with my hands.
The staff was attentive.
The parking was a problem for the late show as the shows overlapped a bit and there was no parking available until the early show attendees left.
Overall the show was entertaining. This is something to see once.

Went here last nite with friends and their grandkids: Had not been there since they first opened years ago. The worst part is standing around waiting for them to reopen the doors as they clear the arena from the previous show. It is corny and expensive: but everyone should take kids there at least once. The food was very good even though you eat with your fingers. The actors do a very good ob acting out their "Medieval" parts. Will probably go again some day with our grandkids when they are in the area since they live put of state.

There really is no surprises here. You are met with the standard, over the top, medieval costumes and cheesy souvenirs as you enter. The place is clean, nicely set up and well organized. The theater is quite large and filled with rows and rows of tables for your fare. The service is wonderful and the food is good. A lot of it and served without utensils. The show is great, the horses are spectacular and quite lovely to look at. The show itself is, well, just plain boring to a point. You know it is staged and even though is filled with cheers and speed, it is a bit boring and predictable. It seemed to go on too long and with much too much cheese. Sorry - it was good, glad I went - never have to go again.
