“Good but Pricey for what you get”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Had dinner here on Sunday night with an associate from Germany. the dining room was about 25% full so they were not overstreached for staff.
Our service was good and our waiter proficient. We had steaks, calamari and 2 drinks each.
The bill with tip was about $140 which I think is pretty high for non-major steak house like Ruth's Chris.
All in all it was ok but not at this price point.

“Very Good Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Ever have a steak you can cut with a fork? Or one that melts almost in your mouth like butter? I did. My wife and I went to Chicago prime Steakhouse to celebrate her return from a trip and it was so worth it. Food and service were excellent. Atmosphere was nice, noise level low, very intimate. This is a place we will return to soon again.

“Good, but nothing to write home about”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

My prime rib was delicious. My husband's KC bone in strip was just OK. The au gratin potatoes were cool (temperature-wise) and bland. Would definitely not recommend - nothing like the delicious potatoes at Ruth Chris. The bread was delicious. Fresh and warm and very tasty. Nice that a salad (or soup - we chose salad) that was included. Decent, fairly standard tossed greens with a little red onion and cherry tomatoes. Service was fine - nothing to complain about, but nothing out of the ordinary spectacular, either. Met expectations. It was a decent dinner, but this would not be my first choice in steak houses.

“Don't waste your time or money”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012 via mobile

Staff could care less about welcoming their clientele and providing hospitable service. No one said hello. No one said good bye. No one said we appreciate your business. Took 10 minutes before the waiter approached me and then he was abrupt and acted like i was a nuisance. Asked for lemon for my water and a straw and didn't get it until I asked for it again. Now let's talk about the food. I am a steak connaisseur. The steak was hardly edible. I traditionally order strips rare. Their's was flavorless and fiberous. Very difficult to chew. And don't pour au jus on my steak! Good quality steaks that are prepared correctly don't need the cover up. The spinach salad was mediocre. Nothing even close to the spinach salad at Wildfire down the street and this place charged twice the price. The bread and butter was standard fare. The best thing about the place was the lounge singer. He was awesome. In the area I would highly recommend Sam and Harry's for a high end steak. Wildfire if you are wanting an excellent meal with more variety and less expense.

“Food inconsistent and ok service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012 via mobile

We went here with a larger work group and had mixed reviews across the table. We had to send back 1 steak for being overcooked (which is double bad as it is their signature) and 1 appetizer came 10min after we finished the others. The rest of the table's food ranged from awesome to good. The decor is nice although the restaurant is a little tough to find.
