Unlike the previous review, we had a fantastic time & all our contact with the owner was positive. He was so lovely, giving us eggs from the chickens & telling us about events in the vicinity for the Jubilee.
We stayed in the Stables. We were a party of five - two couples & our daughter, so having the separated bedrooms was brilliant, we all had our own space, yet the communal space was big enough for us all, would have liked an extra easy chair, but that was such a small thing, I hardly like to mention it.
The finish in the cottage is fabulous, as was the provision of utensils, crockery etc. There is such a feeling of luxury in all that was provided - fluffy towels worthy of the best hotel, lovely individual soaps, eggs, bread, milk, tea, coffee & biscuits available on arrival, which was fantastic & meant we could have a break before finding the shop!
Would recommend going to Bathampton Mill for a meal & walking into Bath along the tow path, then getting the boat back - beautiful!
I rarely want to return to any cottage, but I would certainly do so in this case!

Lovely renovation work completed. Shame about some of the family who own the land.
A warning - watch out for the older farmer, especially if you head out onto the footpaths & public rights of way that surround HIS land...! He can be extremely rude & aggressive and will not care if you are in the way if he's moving his animals around. If you happen to be there at the time, look out! He has no time for walkers (even those who stay at the properties paying his family, that he may not even have recognised!) - there are clearly designated footpaths and rights of way across the land but he does not give a damn...You have been warned.

had a monday-friday break in the seed shed, absolutely immaculate, perfect size for two people although i was on my own, nice welcome pack of 6 farm eggs, bread, local butter and milk was waiting on arrival.cottage was well laid out with every thing you need for a self catering holiday.ideal base for exploring the local area whether by car or on foot.a pleasant 40 minuet stroll along the canal brings you to the centre of bath.two pubs within 10 mins walk although i found the bathampton mill although a lovely setting a bit pricey for me.the george was o-k with some nice real ales on handpump.if you have a bike rack defiantly bring your bikes.the only small down turn i could find was the close proximity of the a4 flyover which was a bit annoying when sitting outside, however couldn't be heard indoors. defiantly recommend to everyone

Stayed here for a long weekend with my friends in march in the sheep shed cottage. All the cottages look beautiful from the outside, but they're even nicer on the inside! We had 3 bedrooms, master bedroom with patio doors and en suite, a double room and a twin room. The kitchen/living area is really cosy, you have everything you need - toaster, microwave, oven, ironing board etc. on arrival we also had fresh bread and eggs left for us which was a lovely surprise! We went into bath to do some shopping and we walked along the canal which was lovely and only took about an hour. The bathampton mill is lovely for lunch or tea with lovely views over the river. Overall a lovely break away and wish we could've stayed longer! Will definitely be returning!

Its not hard to write this review, superb cottages, friendly owner, brilliant location. We stayed in The Seed Shed, quality of finish is lovely, warm, clean with lots of nice extra touches from owners including fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm!

Location is spot on, 2 pubs in walking distance, little shop in the village, boat to Bath or 30 minute stroll, just perfect.

Really cant fault anything about this place and will definitely be returning soon if we can get in! Not sure I ever want to stay in a hotel again, its that good!

Went with my 3 girlfriends for a 50th birthday celebration. Had a brilliant time it was clean very well laid out the underfloor heating was brilliant. The bedrooms were nicely laid out and everything was of a good quality. There was milk tea coffee biscuits bread and butter which is a really nice touch. All bedding and towels were provided. Great place to stay to explore bath and there are two great pubs within walking distance both of which serve meals. Will definitely stay there again
