Came here for a convention. Upgraded to tower which is supposedly much nicer than courtyard. Room itself was nice and appeared to be remodeled. Sheet on one of beds had a large stain on it. Bathroom was GROSS! Shower curtain had mold and tub didn't drain . Complained and they fixed that. But then my last day went to shower and brown water with chunks came pouring out of the spout. YUCK! If this hotel doesn't invest in updates soon they will be in trouble. Nice pools and good service will only get you so far.

Great place to hold a conference! Rooms were clean, layout of meeting rooms were nice and spacious, great pool areas, and fire pit and shuttle service are a huge plus. Bars in hotel close at midnight on weekdays. Only downfall was that room key had to be swiped twice to get into the room, even with different keys. Check-in was easy - we arrived three hours early and were able to get into the rooms without a problem. Seems like many of the rooms were renovated/painted/improved since staying here last year. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Servers and wait staff were exceptional. Can't wait to visit again next year! (Only downfall was lots of construction on main road when entering and exiting resort.)

The pros- the staff . Staff was very nice. Front desk n pool guy.
The cons- the rooms were horrible n nasty, u have to update that hotel . Stayed n double queen overlooking golf course .It was way beneath my expectations a motel room was probably cleaner than these golf view rooms. We complained about room then they claimed to have moved us to a cleaner room. There was no hope really same results just a couple of floors down. For the pics that I took of the room they should of upgraded us to a suite. But they gave us a bottle of wine instead. I appreciate the gesture but I payed money for a nice room n hotel not a $5-$10 bottle of wine. Spent way less money n got a way better room at other hotels. Also ordered room through groupon n the room still was not worth it. I have pics that I will post so you could get an idea.

I went with 3 other women for a "Girls' weekend". We went to the play, had dinner, played some MahJongg and had a few drinks along with lots of laughs. It was a short distance from home but still felt like we were away on an extended vacation. The staff for the most part was very friendly and accommodating. The beverage manager went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with our location in the restaurant when a very important Blackhawks game was televised on the TV in the restaurant. We had a remarkable deal for the weekend making it even better than we had anticipated. We met met many people during our two night stay making it hard to leave. All good things must come to an end and our trip ended on a very good note. I would definitely go there again........in a heartbeat.

We stayed there because of a Groupon deal. We stayed in the tower room and had no issues. We were on the 9th floor and had a great view of the golf course. My husband and I golfed and it was a great course, well taken care of. After golf we hung by the pool. The hotel had a tiki bar set up and a bar-b-que. They also had a lot of activities for the family that included a DJ, swim races, trivia, crafts, belly flop contest. It was a lot of fun. The customer service there was great. Later in the evening they had a bonfire and also had an outdoor showing of a family movie.

The downside of the resort was the that it was a little dated, and the cost of beverages and food by the pool. For a draft beer it was $4.50 and for a mixed drink it was $7.75. It was $4.00 for a hot dog and $6.00 for a hamburger. We had a $25.00 credit included in the Groupon and it didn't go far.

Have visited many times, always come back because of the location, amenities and the service. The customer service is always excellent, especially the front desk staff. With that said, it seems to need some overall renovation. We book Tower rooms, this time it was the frigerator that didn't work; last time it was the televsion. The water in the room had a noticeable mineral taste (the restuarants use bottled water). Meals in both restaurants were very good, service in the Harvest restaurants was outstanding. I'd stay again, but who knows about the future.

Room Tip: Tower rooms on the north or west side (not overlooking the pool) or courtyard golf rooms as far back...

We were looking for a place close to the wedding reception hall in in Geneva. Our stay here was great. What a pleasant surprise to find that we could take their complementary shuttle! Ended the night with a drink in the lounge that was open until 1am. Tower room was great. Staff was extremely accomodating. Would definitely return!
