We arrived at Shellys at 12.15 for a soup or sandwich and a cream tea, as we had read such a lot of good reviews. We entered the tea shop which was empty with a hallo from the kitchen area which wasn't a good start, we looked at the menu and my wife chose home made soup so she asked what soup was on the menu and was told" we ran out of the soup last night I'm just about to make some more" at 12.15!!.so back to square one, we then chose sandwiches and were about to order when a voice from the kitchen area said "we haven't got any cheese" so that was the last straw we got up and left, service was terrible, there wasn't any! So I wouldn't recommend this tearoom to anybody. Ps.we had wonderful cream tea and fantastic service, nearby on the cliff top.
