“Convenient & Attractive, But Service Lags”
Reviewed August 11, 2006

This is one of the most attractive hotels in the O'Hare area, with beautiful suites and public areas. Walking distance to the Blue Train, and a quick shuttle to O'Hare. Prices are reasonable on weekends, much higher during the week. Decent small indoor pool, but a tiny, inadequate gym (just aerobic machines). Service was pretty bad, especially in the restaurant. At breakfast, even when the place was virtually empty, waiters rushed through dumping juice and coffee into glasses and cups, without asking if you might want them, but could not be found when you needed them, or wanted a check. Avoid them at dinner and head for Carlucci's, a decent mid-price Northern Italian restaurant in the same complex, connected by a covered walkway. For a proper gym, head to the WIllow Creek Club, about 10 minutes away on Higgins Rd. (call for directions; $12).

  • Liked — Convenience to airport
  • Disliked — service; lack of proper management
  • Tips/Secrets — avoid the restaurant and head next door to Carlucci's

We were marooned at O'Hare by American Airlines late on a Sunday afternoon. As frequent stayers at Marriott, we selected the Courtyard and called. They had space. But to get the shuttle, I couldn't use their free phone, I had to call from a pay phone. The shuttle finally picked us up in about 25 minutes, and we checked into a pleasant room. But the air conditioning worked poorly. The swimming pool was badly maintained. Breakfast service didn't begin early enough in the morning for us. The free shuttle did take us to dinner, and back to the airport the next morning. I'd not stay here again. You can do better at O'Hare.

The Marriott Suites is a good choice in the O'Hare area. The room was clean and newly decorated. The large bathroom was particularly nice, with a separate shower and tub. The room was also quiet--no noise from airplanes or other guests.

We found a promotional rate on the Marriott web site of $99/night, which makes this hotel a good value. Parking is an extra $18/day.

Breakfast in the restaurant is pretty good and the service excellent. Our one dinner there was only average.

The Blue Line is about two blocks from the hotel, which is a good way to reach downtown. It takes about 30 minutes to get downtown on the train, which we didn't mind because of the great rate and nice room at the Marriott Suites.

Just returned from A great stay in the Chicago Area and the Marriott Suites-O'Hare. Our son graduated from the Navy Recruit Training Command about 30 mins. North-west of Rosemont. We planned on visiting Downtown Chicago and figured Rosemont to be halfway between the two. The staff at Marriott Suites were pleasant. The hotel itself was nice. I'm a clean freak and it met my standards. Our room didn't have that hotel stale smell to it at all. Carpeting and furniture as well as draperies were free from stains. We stayed on the 10th floor which had nice views and as stated in previous reviews we didn't find airplane noise to be that much of a problem. The mattress & bedding were awesome. The pillows weren't bad either. My only pet peve regarding cleanliness is marks & dirt on doors/door handles. A quick wipe every now & then wouldn't hurt. The pool and exercise room were ample in size & very clean. The cocktails served at the bar/restaurant in the hotel were extremely weak for the price. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but did at Callucci's right next door which was very good. There is a McDonald's across River Road which is OK for breakfast, but there's also a Starbucks on Higgins Rd. (within 1 mile) which had great fresh breakfast sandwiches. There is Road consrtruction on Rte 90 West which turned out to be somewhat of a nightmare for us. Overall it was a great hotel & very pleasant stay. I would definately recommend staying here.

This is an excellent place to stay if you are traveling through O'Hare. We got the Sleep ,Park, Fly package. It worked out just fine. Our free shuttle to and from the airport was great! The rooms were very clean and comfortable! No complaints!

This is one of the best Mariott Suites I have stayed in. Recently renovated to a high standard with a modern decor and the rooms have luxury. The bed is so comfy, I went to bed early just to enjoy it! It had a feather bed topper and the complete bedding was new and clean.
The bathroom was really good too with Kohler fixtures.
Upon check-in I found the front desk to be couretous, friendly and efficent. That is hard to find these days even in the the most expensive resorts and hotels.
Close to the Stephens Convention Center with a complimentary shuttle .
This was a really nice place!

Just got back from Chicago...and i must say this hotel is very nice. Very clean and cozy. The only disappointment was the website stated that each suite had a separate tub and shower. That was not the case in our suite. We had a shower/tub combo. I was picturing a nice deep tub. Which would have been great after our many COLD visits to downtown. The Rosemont "L" station is 1 block away. It takes about 25 mins. to get downtown. I suggest getting off at Washington. (downtown) I will definately be back. Definately!!!
