“Awesome hotel--we loved it!”
Reviewed September 22, 2010

We stayed there for four nights, and had a great time. We had our two year old with us, which made having a suite really nice. The rooms were clean, and it was very quiet while we were there. The only negative--the pool was closed for maintenance our entire stay! They let us use the pool at the nearby Hyatt, but considering it was fall, it was a cold ride home! And the Hyatt's pool wasn't all that great or very warm--not great swimming for our two year old. Other than that, we really could not complain! The rooms were very nice and loved that our two year old was not in the room with us!

Long story short had a reservation at $309 per night. Checked in and they were overbooked. After 2 hours they found a place 30+ miles away and I had an early flight. (and it was 2:00 am) Offered a conference room where they made a bed of sheets on the floors plus they had no pillows. Manager bailed before we were set up. I did feel bad for the lady at the front desk who was very nice because she had no control. No shower facilities until after 5am when pilots were leaving. My flight was at 6:00 so that wasn't much help. Did refund the $309 prepaid bill. Pictures to follow.

Stayed at this place for a large convention as it was a host hotel. The front desk person was extremely nice and friendly as was the bellhop, very helpful. But the rooms, while nice and large with a separate living room and bedroom is truly a dump. 70s vintage furniture and decorations, uncoordinated drab colors, and incredibly poor work spaces. The chair for the desk will not even adjust to get you to desk height,

Truly the dumpiest room I have had traveling in 10 years.

I have stayed in many hotels for business and pleasure and this one ranks way up on my Stankonia meter! I had to change rooms as soon as I saw it. In a non smoking hotel, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. In the next room, was littered with a hodgepodge of different furniture from the local thrift shop. No microwave, no refrigerator no batteries for the remotes? REALLY?! I had to call to the front desk for batteries to the remotes. I was afraid to sit on the couch or the chair... Essentially, the room's decor was 20 years outdated. I have been to many other hotels recently that blows this one and other Sheraton Hotels out of the water... Yes free Internet, but to have to go to the lobby to access it? No way! It seemed like all of the "conveniences that t he hotel "provided" made it an inconvenience for me... I will walk across the street to the Hilton, Mariott or Holiday Inn. One suggestion, try the competition first.

even thought this place seems like visiting grandma and grandpa in nursing home...with very little $$$$ this hotel could vertually change over night,,,drop dining prices 25% and add a couple entertainers in the lounge on weekends, this would be like having a blood transfusion. For $80 i got a decent room(showing its wear) but had all essentials i needed. would of liked affordable options so i didnt have to take cabs everyday to dine in same restaurants i dine in at home, been nice to dine here for a little less money ... staff was very friendly and only bit me once in the rear..if your looking for a upscale budet 8,,this place is the bomb.

We just checked in to our room. Upon entering the lobby, we were blown away by the intense smell of bleach. The smell is so strong that it permeates even our room on the 6th floor. I have no idea whether or not this is the Sheraton Suites O'hare's typical method of cleaning, but if it is, I would recommend staying elsewhere. It is overwhelming.

The hotel is nice, clean, pretty atrium. I was given a free gift of one night stay so i don't know the cost of the room but the king size bed was nice with a down comforter which was definetly nice.
One annoying thing was the parking, it's $18 for hotel guests! Just think thats a bit ridiculous when youre also paying for a room..stayed on the 7th floor so had a great view of the skyline.
All i can say is beware of the room service food! We ordered late, about 10pm i think. The food tasted awesome but with in a couple hours my spouse and i had great intestinal problems and its 2 days later and we are still experiencing cramping! Don't know if the cooks spiked our food because we ordered to late or if they just gave us unintentional food poisoning! i can generally eat anything with out problems but that stuff messed us up!
Moral of the story: SLEEP BUT DON'T EAT!
