So, here is the deal, or at least, here is the deal from my limited knowledge base...
In Japan, sushi is not what it is in the US. Sushi is not served at ultra-trendy, dark, super pricey, couture restaurants. Instead, sushi is a working man’s food, meant to eat quickly as a small meal or a snack between meals. This is exactly what sushi is like at Sushi Station; quick, cheap and fast. The quality of the fish is good, not the best I have ever had, but it is good, and much better than sushi I have had at higher-priced establishments. Service is efficient. Variety of rolls is excellent, especially if you are there during prime time lunch or dinner hours.
My only complaint is not really a complaint at all. I just prefer the Randall Road location over the Rolling Meadows location. If you have the time to drive to Huntley, do it. The Sushi Station there is MUCH better.
