Having just spent three nights here I would definintely recommend this hotel, the room was extremely comfortable, very roomy and all you needed for a short break away. We booked in on a two night package and then decided to stay for their Sunday night offer as well, €59 for two for B&B!

We ate in the Restaurant and the bar for our whole stay and the food was excellent in both. Would definitely recommend the goats cheese or the fish and chips from the bar menu, mmmmmm! The breakfast choice was excellent and was always hot. The choice on the dinner menu covered all tastes.

The staff in the hotel bar and restaurant are definitely an asset to the hotel they are so attentive, friendly and efficient without being intrusive and always had a smile for you.

Whilst we were there there was a wedding and that did not effect the service you got elsewhere which can happen in other hotels.

The golf course was very busy whilst we were there and we didnt use the leisure facilities.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to get a break away for a few nights. Definitely value for money.

Spent a 2 night golf and dinner special offer in Faithlegg with friends on the 3rd and 4th of Aug. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We took 3 rooms, (1 each for the couples and 1 for the teens.)
We arrived in the early afternoon on the Tuesday and after a lovely lunch in the bar, the males in the group took on the golf course while the women of the group took on the treatment spa.
After being roundly beaten by the excellent golf course, we rejoined the ladies in the clubhouse bar for some drinks on the terrace overlooking the 18th hole.
We then had dinner in the Roseville rooms which by any standard was superb.
Dinner was followed by some drinks in the bar. The staff in the hotel were wonderful and were quite happy to allow us to linger into the wee small hours over a couple of late drinks.
The breakfast buffet the next morning was equally excellent. Plenty of choices of fruit, cereal, cold meats, breads etc. The hot section of the buffet had all you could want and everything was delicious. There was no shortage of any item and the staff were again excellent.
In short, i cannot fault any aspect of our stay at Faithlegg and we were all amazed at the fantastic value for such a fabulous setting.
We will most definitely be back.

Just returned from a four night stay in Faithlegg house hotel. I didn’t know what to expect as I was not impressed with the reviews here on tripadvisor. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. We were a family 2 adults and 2 children. Had a good size room, one double and two single beds. While spotless linen and towels and plenty of them. Tea and coffee facilities, nice bath/ shower. I would describe it as a typical good three star rather than a four star. The breakfast was very good, everything one would expect, and the produce was good which is not always the case but here it was. We ate in the bar one day and it was really good, boiled rice and mash potato dishes, which is much better than the chips options that is often only available for kids. Staff were lovely , reception staff could smile more but it didn’t bother me. Location brilliant for access to the city and to beaches. Bunmahon beach beautiful and quiet. Tramore for amusements if you are into that kind of thing. Went to Jack Meads pub which is very near Faithlegg house hotel, food was ok, (nothing to rave about) but there is lots of outside seating and playground on site which entertains the kids for a bit. The city is lovely, we had an AMAZING meal in la Boheme in Georges Street . For under 80 euro (early bird) for the four of us, I guarantee you will be very very impressed. Ginos for pizza and icecream in the city also excellent value and good quality. Lismore is a lovely town to visit from Waterford, give it half a day at least. Drive the coastal route, lovely. Back to the hotel… the pool is great and kids can go anytime before 6pm. Towels provided. Kids club not great. 5 euro per day is good, sent the two children a few times, they were happy to get collected, I was hoping they would be begging to go back!! I paid 300.00 for the four of us B&B for four nights (which was over bank holiday weekend). I feel I got excellent value for money. I would not recommend this hotel for a romantic break , but I also know I would not expect to pay as little as 300.00 for four nights for romantic luxury. For a family situation where you are mainly travelling around each day doing your own thing, I was very impressed.

We went to Faithleg last weekend for what we thought was going to be a relaxing break to unwind and chill out. We seen an offer in the paper which was good value for a three night break, however, when we went to book we were told they were completely booked out for the third night so we booked for Sunday and Monday. When we arrived the grounds looked very impressive. We went to check in and the reception was grubby with the marble floor most definitely needing to be polished, there was a bad smell in the lobby, we checked in and went down the corridor to our bedroom, the place is in need of a good cleaning, all of the brass on the bottom of the doors needs to be cleaned and polished, the room was very small and not somewhere one would choose to sit and relax, there were only towels for one person despite the fact the booking was for two people. There was no fridge in the room and no complimentary water. We ate in the restaurant, I have to say I found the staff in there to be very helpful and friendly which was nice, the menu came with a lot of supplements which i do not agree with, the food did not live up to the expectations my husband ordered duck and was told it was served pink which would be his choice, the duck came out and was tough, dry and very over cooked, my choice was salmon which came out on a pea puree that was cold, with mashed potato and vine tomatoes which were also cold and had obviously been sitting there waiting for the salmon to be cooked. Deserts were disappointing and were definitely not fresh or home cooked. The bar lacked an atmosphere with all these people sitting around in a drawing room, hotel packed to capacity and no entertainment, piano player or any back ground music. The weather was lovely but there was no where to sit outside and enjoy a coffee or a drink. The breakfast was basic food sitting in a banbury and on the second morning we were told they were waiting on hot food to be cooked which did not arrive during our sitting. Again if you wanted to have something cooked fresh from the menu it came with a supplement, you also had to cook your own toast which took an age when the rest of your food was going cold, staff should have brought the warm toast with the tea or coffee. We left the hotel on the second day and I would never go back again or recommend this to any of our friends. The hotel has great potential but it needs to do a lot of work, it most definitely does not deserve a four star rating.

This is an old hotel with style and class> The food is excellent and the family room was very spacious. The golf course is right at the front door and its a very good one. Interesting holes and challenging. It's close to Waterford City and right beside Wexford and Kilkenny. The pool is nice but the jacuzzi is magic as are the steam room and sauna. The gym is a bit small but never busy.

The only suggestion I would make is if the Hotel could install safes in the rroms.

Great place for a fun or relaxing weekend.

We were three couples - two middle-aged and one senior couple. The hotel staff were superb from the moment we checked in. Despite being completely full, the staff were courteous, professional and warm. The hotel is an oasis of calm and relaxation. The breakfasts are excellent, the dinner superb. The nearby pub, 'Jack Meade's' is a great place for a meal or drink also.
Faithlegg is a golfer's paradise but non-golfers will also find plenty to do. The grounds offer beautiful vies and walks. The leisure centre offers a swimming pool and spa treatments (we didn't avail of these so I can't comment on the quality). We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay with 3 breakfasts and one evening meal. The roms are spacious and bright with tea & coffee making facilities, ironing board, hairdryer etc. The beds are very comfortable and quite roomy. We thoroughly recommend Faithlegg as a holiday break. A little drawback is the lack of wi-fi in bedrooms for those who like to keep in touch with emails (although free wi-fi is available in the lobby) and perhaps some extra local info and maps would be welcome. However these slight lacks did not impinge on our enjoyment.

Surprisingly good (considering the number of offish comments on Tripavisor).

Got a great golf, dinner and 2 b&b for 99 euros per head.
