We really enjoyed this v cosy, period cottage - floorboards, panelled walls etc. ...Even the young adults with us were happy with their rooms - and of course, wifi presence. The lack of tv aerial may be an issue for some (but lots of DVDs available at the cottage) but we were more than happy to escape TV for a week. It was also (and a very pleasant surprise...) practically silent considering the A1 is nearby, it cannot really be heard at all from the cottage - but it does make for great access for journeys up and down the coast for your visits to castles and wonderful beaches. The kitchen is very small by most standards and not practical for dining more than two people at table - the only real drawback - but was otherwise functional and well appointed, and so as 4 we often ate on our laps in the living room. Super shower and large heated towel rail in the bathroom. Very helpful that the pretty front garden is gated and rear courtyard garden fully enclosed - we took our spaniel and he was very happy there before and after our long walks on the coast. All in all, we were very happy with this property as a good quality / value for money option.
