I am truly sorry to hear that you stay was anything less than perfect. Although, there is very little we can do about the neighborhood and the surrounding areas, there is absolutely no excuse for the staff to behave in complacent manner. We realize that we have an older property, and therefore we strive very hard to make sure that our customer service and cleanliness is spectacular. If anyone on our staff is providing anything less than that, then they need to be reprimanded. I just love Howard Johnsons, I heard very bad comments, I call talk to Lisa Tate she was very nice assure me don't be afraid, of bad reports just come see for myself, If I don't like it I can get refunded, but she know I will enjoy my stay, don't cancle come see.
Lisa attitude was convincing enough for me, she talk to me for as long as it took for me to feel comfortable about visting Howard Johnsons. If Lisa would have brush me off the phone and not took time to talk to me, I WOULD HAVE NEVER VIST HOWARD JOHNSON AND CANCLE RIGHT AWAY!
I am so glad me and hubby visit, I met Lisa she was just as nice as the phone conversation we had, I met the rest of the staff OH MY GOD they all are loving and kind hearted, warm feeling people including housekeeping, and the staff at Sherry's Restaurant was off the chain, the food delicious, selected free items included with hotel stay was rewardable.
The New Howard Johnson Is here the Pass Is Gone! The rooms smell fresh, very clean bathroom, new upgrades TV'S and more game room, The double bed is roomy, swim, fittness room lobby, free parking, ask for late check out if available, free breafast bacon, sauages, pancakes,toast, all drinks, eggs bagels and more, cook while you present, Free Parking, Restaurant of all kind within walking distance.

Howard Johnson is the place you get so much more for your money, It's Affordable then any other hotel, plus Lisa introduce us to the WYNDHAM REWARDS We joined. If you don''t believe me come see for yourself, we loved our stay 3 nights and will be glad to come just for a quick get away from the family, Plus the beds are very comfortable and nice soft sheets and fresh sheets feel like 500 or more threads. For the price you can't beat it, COME AND SEE HURRY!

To start off the hotel is a mess! The rooms smell terrible, nothing is clean and to top it all off there was a bullet hole in our sliding glass door. And out side that door was a court yard full of people that live there( I know this because we talked to them), they had some crazy get togethers out there. Although they seemed harmless, their foul loud mouths were a bit of a problem since this was a family get away for us to the local waterpark. The staff was nice enough, although we did not see them other than at check in. I would never ever recommend this place. I picked this hotel because of the comments, I must say they are EXTREMELY misleading, I almost think they are describing a different Howard Johnsons!

Rest assured that we will definitely get to the bottom of it and make certain that the experience is not relived by any other future guests. I can assure you that there is absolutely no validity in there being a bullet hole in any of our windows. In the past 10 years of being here, I've never had to deal with any sort of a security breach or safety concern. We realize that we are not an upper tier full service property, and also acknowledge that we will not be a perfect fit for every single traveler out there. We are working with an older property, but we strongly believe that we are able to offer great amenities, 9' deep indoor pool, complimentary wifi, restaurant on site, etc... all for an incredibly reasonable price and an amazing level of customer service. Thank you again for your feedback, we will definitely get to the bottom of it.
My husband and I just needed a bed and shower. The sheets smelled so clean and the bedspread was new. The bathroom was spotless and we actually had plenty of linen! The towels were not itchy! There were tolietries and a coffee maker in the room. The housekeeping staff was very courteous as well! We ate at the restuarant next door; Sherry's Restaurant, and selected items are included with your hotel stay. The food was actually delicious and it was a nice change to have breakfast at a sit down restaurant versus a buffet with cold cereal and danishes like most affordable priced hotels. For $50 this is the best value we have found that fit out needs. The facility does not look like a high end 5 star hotel but you will not be disappointed in the value and service! The office manager, Lisa Tate was exceptionally helpful and we will be back when passing through.

Not only is the photo misleading, but we paid over $75 for a room that we found advertised for $49.95 for one night. The decor was dated and busted. Cracked trim, peeling paint and only one pillow per bed. The place was infested with gnats and tiny red-eyed flies. I also believe it is a transients hotel as I saw a lot of grills set out on balconies (which I believe is in violation of hotel regulations.) The check-in personnel, Miss Megan (proudly printed on her name badge), was dismissive. The location is in the flight path of the nearby regional airport as well as nestled between two other lodging establishments. One of which was recently featured on the news where a mother of a missing boy (for over a year now) was discovered to be living. I would not ever recommend this hotel, not even to an enemy. I did not feel safe or clean staying here. When visiting friends who live in the Cherry Valley area, they asked "Why did you stay there????" in shock and dismay. We thought it was the cheapest place to stay. It wasn't. Lesson learned.

Unfortunately there is very little we can do about our geographical location and the age of our building, but we pride ourselves on the things that we do have control over: customer service, cleanliness and safety. Please know that the staffmember will be confronted and questioned about her attitude. As far as the rate discrepency goes, our room rates range from $49.95 to $79.95.
