“Comfort food, comfortable setting”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

This restaurant was right across the street from our hotel. We were told that the portions were generous and that was certainly the case. The menu is very flexible, unlike some other restaurants where you can't mix-and-match. For example I was a able to design a breakfast wrap with five ingredients of my choice. Our waitress was very friendly and very efficient. The only below average item was the pancakes.

“Over Priced and Average”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

We had 12 family members meet here for lunch on Father's Day. We had made reservations so we were seated quickly. The breakfast and lunch buffet were offered for one price. The food was okay but nothing special. We felt the buffet was pretty much over priced for the food.

“Nothing to write home about”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

We try to stay away from fast food when traveling and try new places to eat. So, we stopped here after a half day of traveling.

Overall, very average. I had the baked potatoe soup and a half special sandwich. Soup was bland. Sandwich was nothing special at all. Just a basic BLT. My sons beef brisket sandwich was good. Small portion....and literally 15 small sweet potatoe fries that we were upcharged for. The servers seemed overwhelmed and therefore, service was inconsistent and slow.

From the outside, this place looks cute, but it is a step down from a Cracker Barrel. I would go elsewhere next time.

“Good place to stop for breakfast”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

Very good breakfast. The hash was cooked perfectly. The hash brown casserole was a bit bland. Next time I will opt for the hash browns for something with a little more crunch.
Don't forget to say, "I love eggs", when you order to get an extra free egg.
If you are going up to the Wisconsin Dells for a family getaway, I suggest getting an early morning start to beat the traffic, and stop here for breakfast. You get a great breakfast to start your trip, and you get to the Dells at the perfect time.
