“Small Greenhouse Attraction”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

My reciprocal membership got me in free. Botanical gardens are not at their height this time of year. This one is in its infancy. Access by car could be horrific when traffic is heavy. The system of one-way streets surrounding it is confusing to strangers. The central building is a noisy greenhouse with waterfall and running water. The main desk sells food to feed the coy. Tortuga the turtle was sleeping on the bottom. No one present on a weekend knew more about botany than the writer. I'll have to research Neem trees for myself. The small outside garden is just waking up. There are active and passive programs for children. I would not go out of my way to return here.

“attended a wedding reception there”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

Was a beautiful area and unique for a wedding reception. The guests had time to walk around the center and see all the plants and animals.
Kids as well as adults enjoyed it very much.

I am a lover of flowers and plants so this is right up there on my list as a place I should visit more often. Friendly volunteers.

“Cute place to kill time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2012

Small for a Botanical Center.

However, it did have interesting plants to see. The HUGE leaves of the Banana trees were fun to take pictures with. They also have a cute little waterfall. Also the koi fish are aggressive! Fun to watch them. You can also feed them.

Overall a fun experience and time killer.
