Lunch with a friend at this friendly, comfortable place. Ganson's has a good reputation and deservedly so. Creative menu, including Mac and Cheese with options for stir ins. The dish was a bit bland, but otherwise well-prepared. We will return for their breakfast or dinner.

The small interior is not inviting, but the wrap-around porch with umbrella tables is a delight in warm weather. Breakfast scones, muffins and great baked oatmeal are all special. The staff is very attentive and prices are reasonable.

It's very hard to find a restaurant in the Quad Cities that caters to gluten-free people, but Ganson's does. I love their gluten-free bread. Not everything is gluten-free, but there are enough menu options that I feel like they care about their gluten-free customers. I also like the small in-house atmosphere and that they (at least appear to) treat their waitresses like people, not workhorses.

I stopped in mid-afternoon recently looking for a late lunch. Decent prices and a nice selection. I had the potato soup and a salad, and the soup was excellent. The baked goods looked really good as well.
