Finding a hotel for U of I graduation was a challenge... we were pleased when we found a room at The Quarters Inn. Our first room smelled soooo bad of mold and mildew that we immediately walked back to the desk to ask for another room. The second room was no better, we walked out thinking a night in the car would be better than sleeping in a moldy "sick room" . The only saving grace was they refunded our money! save yourself don't go.....

Room Tip: join a preferred program and let them help you find a room that suites your needs

Well stayed there for two nights and wow I have stayed in better places in Mexico...Which i'm going next week back to SLP Mexico.....Two out five people at the front were nice , they could stay the rest should be kicked to the moon..The room they were going to give my wife and I were well small one for her and one for me...
We asked for a king bed and wow that was a struggle, no one had any idea how to make the change.. Lets see by the time we did get a room it smelled like an old fishing hat, the shower curtain had more mold than I have ever seen for a NUMBER 1 hotel...

I think someone needs to really go in and check this out like the HEALTH DEPARTMENT....

Room Tip: DONT stay by any of the doors, because all you hear is the door slammmmmmmming all night...Side doors...

We stayed 2 nights at this inn located on the old Chanute Air Base site. We were allowed to check in 3 hours early and room was readily changed to ground floor accommadations when asked.Room was clean upon arrival, and maid service the next day surprised us as usually you have to request it in these lower cost motels. Breakfast was very substantial with fruit, oatmeal, danish, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, toast, bagels, peanut butter and cream cheese.Room rates of $52.00 very reasonable for the area. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Many of the rooms have actual kitchens all have micro and mini-fridge, but beds could be firmer.I would use my GPS or a good map to find as not on main track. 24 hour tanning room and indoor and outdoor pools. Walls kind of thin but was not a problem. Will definitely stay again.

After giving prior notice of a late check in (around 1:00am) when we arrived there was no desk clerk. We rang the service bell on the counter and still no answer. After several Minutes of waiting we went down the closest hallway in search of a hotel employee. We found the night clerk in the small laundry room next the reception desk with the door ajar, viewing a laptop computer and touching himself inappropriately (you can use your imagination and be accurate).

We did contact the hotel manager who was off that property at the time and he promptly handled the situation. We were told that the clerk apologized and promptly quit. I am just thankful that we did not have our children with us at the time.

The room did have a "kitchenette". So we had a Fridge and Microwave. No elevator. No wireless computer access in the room. Really a bare minimum room but Cheap and we weren't in the room very much. Slept well and weren't disturbed. Climbing the stairs and the distance from the parking lot was inconvenient. I guess I'm spoiled and need those extras like elevators, wireless connections, and a luggage carrier. We were offered a laundry cart to carry our "stuff", but how could we get it up the stairs?
