“Stunning house with beautiful view. And a cracking pub in the next village!”

Cazenovia Hall is as beautiful as in the photos. Loads of space, a perfect place to entertain a large group.

Surrounded by stunning countryside, but near enough to the lovely village of greystokes (20 min walk along the lane). The local pub serves excellent food and ales.

Good location if you're planning to drive to explore the lakes. Only 30 minutes to Ullswater and 15 minutes to Penrith.

Would definitely go back again with friends or family. Big enough to not be falling over each other, with great spaces to spend time all together.

“Really special retreat to pull the plug and chill out in luxury”

What a wonderful surprise. Excellent standard all round from the quality of bedrooms and kitchen to the setting and gardens. Lots and lots of unexpected extras from the welcome basket of country fair to the Lake District library with many quirky surprises in every draw. The wonderful setting, tranquil landscaped gardens and log fire put together by the owners with great love and care to make a very special retreat. Thank you owners and we will be back.

Our extended family of 10 stayed in these 2 cottages in June 2014. We were so impressed with the beauty of the location and then we went inside and were amazed. It has been done beautifully and was spotless! Jilly was extremely helpful and even gave us a tour of the castle! These cottages are charming and spacious, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

“Fantastic accomodation with everything we could have asked for”

Great accommodation which catered for a large group for a family birthday event with ages from baby to grandparent, totalling 14 people and 2 dogs. We rented the Glassonby Old Hall and Jenny's Croft and both were very clean, well set up, and we lacked for nothing. We arranged Jilly for catering one evening and the quality and service superb.

We would certainly recommend the location, and Jilly for the catering for a special occasion.

Stayed here with three generations of the family over Easter - had a fantastic time . Really impressed with the layout and facilities - lots of space and much thought gone into the design and fittings . Great location with walks from the door to Greystoke - nice pub and village shop.

Little things much appreciated such as when the sun came out a BBQ appeared already stocked with spare charcoal . There really was no shortage of anything you need.

Really was a special trip and would recommend to all

“Fantastic lakeland retreat - don't tell anyone!”

On arrival was really pleased to be greeted by the aga! Having never cooked on one before we relished the challenge. Even without a grill it made mincemeat of a cooked breakfast!

The kitchen is better equipped than mine at home. You'll want for no implement. Even down to cling film and foil - the things you don't expect.

The bedrooms are very comfortable - I'd even say luxurious. The bed and pillows seemed to swallow you up.

The living room was also really comfortable and the iPod Dock together with wifi enabled us to access our full library of music which was also really welcome.

The children (both large and small) enjoyed the mini snooker table cleverly disguised under the dining room table.

The outdoor space is also great although I never did find the BBQ but I'm sure it exists.

The utility room meant that we didn't come home with mountains of washing which always seem to take the edge off a lovely holiday.

Overall, we were really pleased to have selected Cazenovia Hall for our holiday.

Just one thing, ask for the key box code in advance of your arrival! Otherwise you might be locked out like us when the house manager and owners couldn't respond to our calls. This didn't spoil our break though.
