After reading reviews on Trip Advisor for the Pontiac hotels, we opted for this one. We were told this hotel underwent a full renovation about 1 year ago and it shows. It is fresh and clean throughout. We stayed in a King room. All the usual amenities were included: refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot, hairdryer and free wi-fi. Note: in our room, the floor in the bathroom wasn't level causing the toilet to list to one side rather steeply. Also, the water pressure from the bathtub spigot was very weak.

There is a complimentary breakfast offered in the morning with enough to suit all tastes. It included breads/pastries, fresh fruit, hard boiled or cooked hot eggs, sausage, bisquits/gravy, cold cereals, hot cereals, waffles, yogurts, coffee, juice and milk. However the breakfast area is very small and is located in the front lobby. There are only four tables available so seating could be a challenge. The swimming pool/whirlpool area, immediately adjacent to the front lobby, is very clean. The water temperatures in both were very comfortable.

A couple of observations: there is one elevator, but it is at the back of the property so if you're going to need to use it, request a room toward the back. Also, there are no public restrooms available in the hotel. The only restroom options are in the guest rooms or in the swimming pool area - both of which are behind key accessed doors. After checking out, the only option is to approach the lobby desk to request access to the pool area facilities while guests are eating breakfast right behind you. Very embarrassing. Note to management: please install a public restroom on the main floor.

This is a great hotel if you are in the Pontiac, IL area. We stayed three nights for business and enjoyed a friendly staff, outstanding breakfast, and clean facilities. The housing keeping crew seemed a bit understaffed and didn't make up our room completely one night, but a discount was issued promptly. Definitely would stay again!

We stayed there again a few weeks ago (early August). This time we got the suite that included a separate kitchen with a kitchen table, a bedroom and livingroom with a hot tub. The advantage of this was that the livingroom was separate so we could entertain our family in this room. The water in the pool was comfortable this time. Breakfast was good. Same as before. We still plan on returning again.

Room Tip: If you want room to entertain, ask for the three room suite.

The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice, clean and quiet. Breakfast was hot, fresh and had many options. We had a lovely clerk on Saturday night who brought us chairs outside so that we could sit and enjoy the nice evening. I will be using this Best Western again next year for the same golf outing.
