What a delight to find this independently owned restaurant/ coffee shop whilst staying in Pontiac..When you are finished visiting the Route 66 museum which also houses the war museum upstairs all you need to do is go to the rear of the building where the Big yellow bus is and you will see the back entrance to the Cafe...
They have daily breakfast & lunch specials...Also a huge selection of Hot & cold drinks..

Lydia's Lodge above Lydia's Cup is a Chicago loft style apartment. Very reasonable night rate for what you're getting. It's amazing. Beautiful wooden floors and brick walls. Fully fitted kitchen. Two bedrooms and completely private. Do yourself a favour and book this place. Carey, the owner is awesome too.

Lydia's Cup is a unique little restaurant/coffee shop. It is based on Lydia in the bible. Run by christian people. Their food is great. Huge portions. Their salads are huge! And their iced coffee is great! A place you definitely want to visit while in Pontiac, IL.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the lunch food at this restaurant. It is located across the street from the courthouse and it seems that a lot of locals eat lunch there so we gave it a try. We had the special of the day which was a pulled pork sandwich served with slaw and homemade chips. The sandwich was served on a fresh roll and the pork was more than generous. I had to eat it with a fork.. We splurged on a slice of homemade blueberry pie with ice cream. The pie was a little on the tart side and the waitress did not warm it up, which would have made it tastier. Overall, I would eat there again if in the area. Pontiac is a great town to visit.
