We made a reservation through a third-party site two weeks before we arrived. When we arrived, we were informed by the manager that he doesn't look at the internet for reservations, but that he did have a room for us and would honor the rate from the site.
The hotel appears to be the long-term lodging for several families, which give the motel an especially sketchy vibe. People were sitting outside, grilling, hanging out, etc. Several vehicles are obviously parked in the lot for the long-term, being used more as storage than as motor vehicles.
Once we got past the bizarre crowd outside, climbing over a broken luggage cart in front of our door and struggling with the poorly lit entrance way to our room, we continued to be disappointed in our room. The room was outdated, the in-room fridge was filthy, and the room was crowded with mismatched furniture. The curtains don't block light (from the plaza across the street or the sun in the morning) and one set of our window treatments was broken and hanging halfway down the wall. We had only one bath-sized towel, despite paying the extra person supplement in the room rate. The bed and bathroom were clean enough and the air conditioning worked. There was hot water in the shower in the morning, but the only amenities that are provided are the tiny bars of soap (no shampoo, hair dryer, alarm clock, etc.).
