Our third different hotel we've stayed at in the area after hiking Starved Rock and Matthiessen Parks (one north of the freeway, the other a neighbor to the Hampton Inn). This was by far the best stay for the value. Extremely clean and "fresh" room. Only complaint, and a minor one, is that the channel guide in the room didn't coincide with the actual channels on the tv. The pool area is fantastic. Pool and hot tub were nice temperatures (didn't get scalded or frozen). Breakfast offered a very nice selection of eggs, waffles, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and bakery items. Location is close to many fine restaurants. Another couple who joined us on the trip had the same great room experience. This will be our new place to stay when enjoy the parks.

We had great stay at Hampton Inn in Peru, IL. Room was clean and staff polite. Breakfast was hot and yummy. We will be back again. We ate at Red Lobster near hotel and it was really wonderful. There was some traffic noise but not enough to keep us awake, this cannot be helped with such a convenient location to major road.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback regarding your recent stay. We understand that our close proximity to the interstate can bother some guests and were glad to hear it was a non-issue for you. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Rooms were clean except the bathroom floor. They could do little about the highway noise that made it hard to sleep. Desk staff very friendly and accommodating! Overall great stay! Breakfast was good!

Hotel was clean and quiet. Free breakfast always a plus.We had the room with a king bed that included a couch which was nice and still felt roomy. I wish the hotel had a shower door instead of a curtain. Once you stay at hotels with shower doors you feel like you are at a luxury hotel with the low price. They need to make that switch! Our room was facing the express way. Initially, it didn't bother us but if you can't fall asleep and you are tossing and turning at night the noise of the cars and trucks will keep you up.So if that bothers you ask for room that faces the parking lot.

We mistakenly reserved a room at this Hampton not realizing their stringent no pet policy. The woman at the front desk was disheveled in appearance and extremely rude bordering on cruel since we had just finished driving 500 miles and were so exhausted that I mistakenly reserved a spot in their "pet free" hotel. She went out of her way to humiliate us before ousting us. Luckily there was a La Quinta in the same parking lot since we were too tired to go anywhere else.

I am truly sorry for the lack of service and compassion you received. I will personally speak with the front desk agent regarding her customer service when explaining our no pet policy as to not offend our guests.
