By no means is June a restaurant you would go to on a weekly basis. It is a restaurant to experience; one that takes you to new heights of dining. The food is not what you typically find in even the best restaurants in Central Illinois. I noticed that some reviewers complained about portion size. This restaurant is about exquisite food. If you want huge portions of ordinary food, please go elsewhere. If you want an extraordinary experience where the waiters know as much about the food as the chefs, and there is a sommelier to advise or even select wines, beers or specific vodkas.... to accompany each plate set down at your table, and there is attention to every element of your dining experience then by a means go to June. Each of the four people at our table was ready to critique, yet we complimented. We tasted things we had never tasted before cooked in ways we hadn't even imagined. This restaurant is amazing.

Will you pay for amazing? Yes. Is it worth the price? Yes.
June sets a whole different standard for Central Illinois. Other restaurants in the area should come here for training.

Wonderful experience!
My husband and I dined here last night. Our reservations were last minute and so we were unsure of how well they would be able to accommodate our vegan diet. We were impressed!
Each of the three courses was flavorful and had at least one surprising element. Our main course was a penne dish that I'm at a loss to describe, except to say that i could eat it daily!
As a special treat, we were given spicy carrot cotton candy before dessert. Super fun!
And dessert! dark chocolate and coconut, YUM.
The service was great. Attentive and polite.
Can't wait to go back!

I have traveled the world, and this restaurant holds up to some of the best restaurants I have seen. Truly a lovely experience.

The wait staff was attentive. The sommelier was knowledgeable, and the food was impressive. Highly recommended.

Was very impressed with the wine list, the quality of the beer, the freshness of the ingredients, and the thoutfulness of the menu. This restaurant will not suit everyone as the choices are limited. But the attention to detail, and the creativity of the menu is worth the experience. I was very happy tonight to have found such a quality restaurant in Peoria of all places.

Yeah... I get it. The minimalist approach in decor, the "presentation" of food as art, the small portions, but supposedly large taste... Blah blah blah... Sorry, I got a really pretentious feeling from our host and waitstaff, but that did not deter me. The food finally arrives, after of course consuming their "quarter" sized environmentally friendly, green and sustainable recipe "biscuits". Sorry again guys, but the once again "sustainable" chicken dish really did not do any sustaining. Bland, a little overcooked (perhaps heat lamp damage?). I expected to walk away a little hungry, but I did not expect to walk away disappointed, especially with the asking price on the menu. June is most certainly the place to be seen eating at if your thing is "being seen". If however you prefer to just eat for the love of great food, this is most certainly not the place.

Wonderful innovative food focusing on bringing out the essence of farm to table products. You will discover that everyday foods (e.g., poached eggs, turnips) suddenly have new life and marvelous flavors that you would never expect. Dishes are focused without any extraneous sauces or garnishes with flavorful and creative combinations (e.g., caviar and pork dumplings). Yes, portions are small, but three courses will leave you satisfied, intrigued, and planning your return visit. Service is knowledgable, friendly, and unpretentious. Reasonably priced for the outstanding experience. Excellent wine, beers, and spirits list - very fairly priced. So much cheaper than driving to Chicago and a more sane tranquil atmosphere than you will find there.
