“Decent pizza, good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2014 via mobile

Went here with friends and the pizza was just ok. We aren't picky eaters so will likely be back due to the convenient location. Prices seemed a little high for the size of the pizza (which there is only one), but did have a decent craft beer selection for such a small place. Overall not a bad spot, particularly on a nice day when you can enjoy the outdoor seating, but unfortunately nothing exceptional about the pizza.

“Don't Rush To Eat Here”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

While visiting with some friends in Peoria, we decided--at their recommendation--to try a relatively new restaurant, Brienzo's Wood Fired Pizza. From beginning to end, it wasn't worth it. It's "grand central confusion" to place your order, the orders were not entirely right when the pizzas were brought to our table, and frankly, the food (including the salads) was mediocre at best. Although our friends (who live in Peoria) had not eaten here before, they were as disappointed as we were. I'm sure they will not be returning. If you truly are hungry for good pizza in Peoria, Brienzo's should not be your first choice

“Good Wood Fired Pizza, Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

The Peoria area has had some pretty good wood fired pizza for awhile, but not in the most favorable locations, at least for us. Now finally we have it all -- good pizza, good salads, nice location convenient at least to us, nice outdoor tables available as well as adequate inside seating (maybe a little small inside for very busy times, only negative I can think of), wine and beer, and a friendly staff. Ordering procedure and service philosophy is a bit like Chipotle -- order and pay in a line, get your own drinks, and they bring you your pizza when ready, but that's OK, it's efficient. Their pizzas are all the same size and cook quickly in their very hot oven and it is fun to watch them prepare them. We have had their Margarita pizza, with added Italian sausage, and it's really good, perfect thin toasty crust and hot toppings. Salads are exceptional, try one, they have several kinds and two sizes and all are equally good. I think we like the Caesar best, their shaved cheese is a nice touch unexpected at a pizza place. Wines are good too, sold by the glass. Moscato is our favorite. We have had one of their other pizza combinations with more ingredients but prefer to keep wood fired pizzas simple, this lets the crust be the star attraction. Really want to try the very simple garlic and cheese, we'll probably do this next time! Soon!
