The zoo is a great place to bring kids, with a unique layout in many of the exhibits and healthy looking animals. The only complaint I have is that there is a small selection of animals, but for a smaller zoo the amenities are great.

It was once rated one of the worst zoos in the U.S. They have made several improvements including a large African area and a sea lion show. Still can't compete with the larger zoos in Chicago or St. Louis, but not too bad for a small town.

For a long time this zoo was a very ugly old school zoo with animals in cages, small, dirty, etc. Then a couple of years ago they completely and totally revamped the zoo, and I could never run out of good things to say about it. They did a fantastic job and it just keep getting better. The exhibits are beautiful, the park is clean and gorgeous. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the future.

A relatively small zoo, but very nice. Located in the city park. The parking is within the park but mostly parallel "on the street" with busy traffic within the park - shared with other activities. Clean for a zoo. We had a wedding at the connected Botanical Gardens and guests walked the zoo while waiting for photos to be completed. Reception in the zoos enclosed pavilion - catered food. Reasonably priced, A nice experience. Good selection of animals. Tennis courts nearby.
