The Hofbrau has been a favorite for many years, whether you want a brat or a complete dinner, you won't be disappointed. They always have the best selection of Worldwide beers to sample, too.

Don't let the blighted neighborhood impede your patronage. This restaurant is a real gem. Located in a by-gone section of Peoria, along the industrial waterfront, it's a destination restaurant for the in-the-know locals. Step inside and you feel like you're in Germany. There's a wide selection of draft beers - perfectly chilled and the lunch menu brats are some of the best I've ever had. Try the Reuben Brat and enjoy the authentic german potato salad and condiments for your sandwich. A nine ounce draft is a perfect accompaniment to any sandwich. I've been all over the Peoria area for business and this stands alone as a memorable place to eat.

All four of my grandparents came from Germany and I am very familiar with German cooking and this restaurant did not impress me at all. German Potato Salad was mushy, Red Cabbage was so sour I could not eat it. Not an impressive place in decor or food.

I love this place! There may not be alot of tables, but it is worth the wait! All of the Schnitzels are amazing! The service is friendly and the food is excellent! Prices are a little steep but the portions are very generous. Prost!
