I regularly arrange directors meeting away days and this property was one that was a recent choice for a few days recently.
Whilst we found the property to be clean and tidy it was lacking in comfort with everyone of our group making comment on the comfort of beds and the lack of proper bedding (cheap thin duvet's with plain white covers that needed replacing - some with stains)
Heating in some rooms was ineffective whilst in others was difficult to control. Heating was on a timer that could not be accessed and at certain times of the day the property was markedly cold.
Our overall view on this property -- A rental property that might suit people who are out walking all day and just want a place to crash at the end of the day but other than that we have had many other rental properties that have been far superior at half the rental cost for the same number of people for the same number of days at the same time of the year.

What luck coming across this place - looks unremarkable (but nice) from the outside, but when you step inside to a warm welcome from Machala and her family, you realise this is something special. The place is done in a tudor style with rich woodwork throughout. Our room had a supersize king bed, generous closet, warm fluffy robes, tea and coffee making facilities, separate and private bathroom. Windows looked over the moors. There were two living areas for guests with comfortable couches, plenty of reading materials and selection of DVDs. Big table also with games provided for families. Great little pub a short walk up the road for dinner. This was one of the best places we've stayed in around UK. Would highly recommend staying here!
