The food here is delicious, as all other reviewers note. However, this is the one place in tourist Mozambique that you should avoid settling your bill with US currency. We paid one evening with dollars and didn't even think of asking the rate of exchange, as, up to then, everywhere we had visited calculated bills based on the bank rate. On the second evening on which we ate here, however, we did ask about the level of exchange, only to discover that it was 5 Meticais less per dollar than usual elsewhere. On an average meal for four (two courses each plus drinks) this would mean a loss for the customer of around 20 bucks.
The Mozambican waitresses are very sweet and friendly.
