“Great beer and hamburgers”

Great place for one of the best hamburgers I had ever had.
Atmosphere and service were also better than the average.

“Good, Reasonably Priced Bar Food and Live Music”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

My wife and I had originally planned on dining elsewhere in the Alsip/Palos Heights area during a planned visit to see the broadly talented and entertaining 60's Tribute Band, The New Invaders on Saturday night, 9-28-13 at Mister Mo's. That is until we checked out the menu on Mister Mo's website. The dinner fare was decidedly bar food but the selection and prices were appealing.

Upon our 6:45 pm arrival we got a table close to the smallish stage for the optimal sights and sounds of the band and ordered the strip steak sandwich special and the Reuben one with the house salad and the other with fries, both of which were included in the sandwich price. The steak was surprisingly thick (5/8") and done to my medium rare request. It was chewy but not tough, a remarkable feat given the Saturday night special price of $7.95. The side salad was a fresh and crisp assortment of mostly head lettuce, carrot, onion and tomato. My wife's Reuben was satisfying as were the side of fries.

During our dinner service we were given the opportunity to move up two tables to the front of the stage, which we appreciated greatly. Our server monitored our meal and then subsequent orders of Leinenkugel's Octoberfest and water with great keeness throughout the night.

By The New Invader's 8:30 pm start time, both dining and bar areas were filled with patrons but at no point during the evening did the establishment seem crowded. The pool tables off to the side of the dining area, saw moderate action during the night as did the seating at the bar.

The New Invader's sound was solid through three generous sets of 60's classics covering an expansive list of artists and bands from the UK and USA and in spite of our close to the stage seating, we didn't suffer from ringing ears at the conclusion of the night's music. As a testimony to the enjoyment of the band's performance, the crowd remained consistent through the end of their third set, which concluded somewhere near 12:30 am.

Mister Mo's Pub & Grub proved a great venue for reasonably priced tavern dining fare, adult beverages and great live music.
