We were passing through Ottawa on our boat, doing the Great Loop, and heard that the marina was excellent, with a restaurant on site. The marina WAS excellent, but sadly the restaurant was not. This is fast food prepared by cooks. We ate there two nights. The first night, I had cod with red new potatoes and vegetables. The cod was rubbery and overdone. The potatoes were cold inside. The vegetables were sautéed onions and a few carrot slices for color. No green in sight. I ordered a Cadillac margarita, and the waitress came back and said the bartender didn't know what that was. OK, there's an app for that! My husband had a burger, which he liked. His fries were tasty, but clearly frozen first. There are no other restaurants in the area, so we ate there again the second night. This time we had the "PETA pizza" (meatless), consisting of an odd, thin cracker-like crust, a bland white sauce, and an indifferent display of vegetables, including the ubiquitous red new potatoes. The restaurant is right on the water in the harbor, and the view is very nice. We wish they had umbrellas that tilted so we could get the sun out of our eyes as the sun was setting. Go for a drink and view, but pass on the food.
