“Homemade food at it's best”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

All the food here is homemade, right down to the hamburger bun. The soups and Chili hit the spot on a cold night. Even if what you want is not on the menu, if they have the ingredients, they are more than happy to make it for you. Great option for family eating. Service was very good.

“Great Homemade Cooking!”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

We went there on a Friday night, the staff is very friendly and inviting. I had the special; jalapeno mac and cheese topped with pulled pork and my boyfriend had the homemade chicken tenders with homemade fries. Both our meals came with a nice green side salad with homemade dressings and a homemade roll. Needless to say, this is homemade cooking at its best, classic comfort food. Mine was delicious and was a HUGE portion (we took it home for lunch the next day). My boyfriend’s was really tasty, loved the hand cut fries too. We also got the homemade peanut butter pie which was amazing (the waitress was awesome and sprinkled it with chocolate sauce and brought a side of salted caramel too).

I highly recommend this place, I’m so sick of all the chains in Oswego, and love supporting a small local business. Give it a shot! We’ll be going there again 

“Fresh, homemade food well worth the visit.”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

The food here is excellent and the service is very friendly. So far we have enjoyed everything we've eaten here. The jalapeno mac and cheese is homemade and delicious and quite the crave food. The loaded fries are quite a treat. Veggies are locally bought and locally grown if possible. The Tilapia was perfectly cooked. The clam chowder is excellent. The beef stroganoff was very tasty (a special on the last night we visited). If I can get myself something other than the mac and cheese, I'll be sure to update this in the future because we are definitely going back. The brownie dessert was to die for.

An extra star would come with an updated interior and a sign that lights up. If you are looking for this place at night, as we say in Chi Town, Faggeddaboutit! because if you don't know it's there you won't easily find it. It could also use an updated interior. Let's just say it kind of has the look of a fraternity basement with the giant bar, wide open space and linoleum floor. Painting a nice sign on the window or some kind of foliage or decoration at the windows would improve things quite a bit. While dining there both times we saw people walk up, look in, then go elsewhere: don't be one of those people!

“Homemade food, friendly and reasonable”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Homemade food, reasonable pricing, friendly people, family fare. This is something that Oswego needed as opposed to the fast food and chains that surround us. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots and was not disappointed. The meatloaf was a thick cut, nice and juicy with a flavorful topping. The mashed potatoes were rich not starchy and had a nice gravy and the carrots had a special sweet flavor that was due to the brown sugar the chef added. Nice people there, very easy to talk to and they provided great service as well. My only minor comment is about the atmosphere. This is a former pub and has an open seating area that I wish had some booths or other dividers to make it more cozy. This is a nice family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a bar on one side and am told they will get a beer/wine license soon but they have no intention of making it a bar atmosphere. Try it, you'll like it as Mikey says.
