Finally the South Suburbs gets something before everyone else does!! And it's about time!! Ever since I saw the signs go up that a winery/restaurant was coming to Orland Park several years ago I knew that it would be a hit. The food has been excellent on each of the visits we have made. My personal favorite is the Short ribs over mashed potatoes(ultimate comfort food) and the red wine marinated strip steak. My husband likes the jamabalya and the crab cakes. We have been wine club members since the Orland location opened and have been very pleased with the quality of wine that they have produced in that time. When you go in make sure to do the wine tasting. For $7 you get a generous tasting of 8 wines (1 sparkling, 3 whites, 3 reds and a fruit/dessert wine). If you join the wine club you can either do all reds, all whites or alternate red/white each month. It averages about $17.00 per month for one bottle. Which is about average these days for a decent bottle of wine. You also get other discounts such as retail prices for any wine you purchase int the restaurant (otherwise there is a mark up) and earn points towards gift certificates! There is also a location in Burr Ridge (off of I-55) and one opening this summer in Wheeling/Buffalo Grove area just south of Lake-Cook Road. Try it, you won't be disapointed!!

As you enter the restaurant, cast your eye over to the glassed-in winery production section. Cooper's Hawk produces its own more than passable wine sold on premises. Normally, I am not a great fan, but these crab cakes were indeed exceptional.

now THIS was exceptional! the crab cakes were amazing and the scallops were out of this world! came here since Canoe Club was recently closed and I was very impressed! don't let the location near strip centers fool you! this is 1st class all the way and even has a real onsite winery! i will be back often!
