Had a fabulous 3 day break, staying at the Cottage; The main house is stunning and feels like a 5 star deluxe retreat; it felt like going to stay with family for the weekend (that you would want to spend time with!); food was awesome as were the hosts; Don't read any more reviews, just book;

Have just driven home in the pouring rain after a very wet weekend at Langford Fivehead. Even the wet weather couldn't undermine the warm welcome, good company and excellent food provided by Orlando and Peter in their beautiful home. It's almost as if they are hosting a house party rather than a business and in fact at 11pm last night we were still sitting at the dinner table.

We stayed at Orlando's and Peter's little piece of heaven just this passed weekend and I have already encouraged a good number of friends about it. Orlando's cooking and Peter's hosting make you feel smiley and fuzzy. The attention to detail is present everywhere, from the house and grounds to the food and Maria Callas singing in the background during dinner at exactly the right time. And no, it doesn't feel stuck up. Not at all.
Dining is a communal affair which worked out really well as our fellow diners were just lovely, the previous reviewer included! Thank you Peter and Orlando for making my 35th birthday extra special!

If you want to feel pampered this is the place for you ! When we arived Peter told us about the history of the building whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a delicous piece of home made cake. Drinks and fabulous canapes at 7pm, then into the dining room, a long wooden table, lovely fireplace with logs burning, delicious food, and an explanation of the cheeses on the board. Biscuits are frowned upon, but I'm afraid we indulged ! 0rlando explained the menu and we decided to let Peter choose the wines to compliment the food, and we weren't disappointed. I don't know whether we were lucky with our fellow dinners but the conversation was lively, with a great deal of laughter. In the garden there are many garden seats,some tucked away, wonderful for reading a book, or a quiet snooze! Sam's Medlar jelly and his jams are a triumph - thank you for sharing your home with us 0rlando and Peter.

Room Tip: They are all nice but some beds are very high, and I'm very short, a source of amusement to my h...

This is a very special place. Clearly a labour of love for Peter and Orlando, who have created the most beautiful home and hotel in Langford Fivehead. Aspirational!

Having stayed with Peter and Orlando at their previous establishment in France, we knew we were in for a treat. But this is exceptional.
The building is of great age, but has been restored and renovated to an exceptional standard.
The rooms are very spacious, well furnished and most comfortable. Bed comfort is very good, with well equipped bathrooms with all amenities.
There is an honour bar, and butlers pantry for tea/coffee and snacks.
We dined one night with the house guests and had a great night, with excellent food from chef Orlando, and very good wine selections assisted by Peter.
Free wifi throughout, and also an onsite PC for internet.
Beautiful grounds worth wandering around.
Very highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for walk-in shower if desired.

I was looking for a local venue and found an unbelievable one.The family filled all seven beautifull rooms on a Saturday evening. My wife and I at Peters sugestion stayed the previous night, a real chance to settle in before everyone arrived for tea.The pre dinner canapes prepared by Orlando were outstanding and a for-taste to the dinner.Everthing went to plan thanks to the remarkable couple. I have tentetivly booked my 90th. but will make some excuse to visit again before then.
